AMELIA The world around me disappeared. Gone was the warm, rosy light of sunset, the majestic snow-capped pines, the small stream that ran in front of the Crescent Moon pack house, and even the raccoon that had stolen the salami sandwich that Erik had dropped as soon as I'd leaned toward him.
