ERIK I parked in the hospital lot, jumped out of the car while it was still powering down and sprinted toward the small group of people gathered in front of the sliding doors. It wasn't hard to spot out between them a small, blond figure, proudly showing off her sky-blue coat. Nor it was hard for her to spot me. "EWIK!" Audrey, my little sister, squealed, wriggling out of Dad's grip to run toward me. Within a moment, she'd slung herself into my arms, wrapping her little arms around my neck like a boa constrictor. "I KNEW YOU WELE COMING!" "Of course, baby," I smiled, stamping a kiss on her cheek. "But - but did you come with the vroom vroom caw?" she asked, with a mischievous spark in her eyes. "Weally fast? Like mommy doesn't want to?" I nodded, winking at her. "Even faster."
