Antero was outside waiting for me when I got kicked out. He stared. “What happened?” he asked. “I heard shouting, and I saw Prince Gale storm in angrily, but he ordered me not to do anything otherwise he’d hurt me so I couldn’t.”
“He threatened to kill me, because he thought I raped Sirena,” I said.
Antero sighed. “I’m sorry. This is all my fault.”
I shook my head. “No, it’s not. It’s mine. I should have….I should have handled everything better wither, and I haven’t. Now she’s kicked me out and I’ll be lucky if she even speaks to me again.”
Antero sighed. “I don’t like the idea of this, but you know what you’ll have to do, don’t you?”
“I know,” I said, “I’ll have to seduce her so I can secure an heir and keep the alliance.”
