After I reached the Clary room, I raised my hand on the door to knock but retreated it with many thoughts running inside my head. I have told Stella that I will win her and make her my friend so confidently but what if I fail to do that? What if she didn't open the door after sensing that it was me behind the door? What if she shut the door on my face? What if she refuses to be my friend and assistant? What if she first acts as my friend and then betrays me just like what Stella told me?
*Stop pacing around the floor like that; if she didn't open the door, then use your power to order her to open the door.* my wolf Kiera said to me.
*But I didn't want to do that. I don't wish Clary to feel that I am looking down on her after winning the duel between us* I protested.
