A blue customized limousine arrived in front of the main office of the Armstrong building. It had a shiny statue of a horse with wings running at the front. The doors opened, and the driver came out and opened the door in the passenger seat. “Young Lady, we arrived already,” the driver spoke in a gentle tone with a bow. A woman in red heels stepped out of the car, carrying a Louis Vuitton bag in hand. She was wearing a designer dress with pearl earrings which shone against the dusty sky of sunset. She checked the time on her ruby-embedded watch. It was 5:30 p.m. A smile curled on the corner of her lips. “I’ll go home with Ivan in his car. You can leave.” She excused the driver before walking inside the office building. The driver bowed and left. She took the lift pulled her make-up box out of the purse, and checked her face carefully in the meantime. Her eyebrows curled in confusion. “Hm….I need to add some highlighter. And some lip gloss.” She murmured to herself. “I want to look presentable at all times.” When she was done with her make-up, she tucked away the make-up inside her bag and walked out of the lift. A bright smile appeared on her lips. “I’m going to surprise Ivan. He never expected me to arrive at this time.” “We’ll go on a date and tell him to drop me off at home.” “We need to spend as much as time possible before the actual wedding takes place.” Her heels clicked against the floors, making noise with every passing step. After walking for a few minutes she appeared 2 feet away from the room she was looking for. “There is it!” her face lights up in excitement. She walked towards the room steadily. But, right before she was about to open the door she noticed that the door was half open. “So, how are things with that stupid girlfriend of yours?” a woman’s voice came from inside. “Hm….pretty well. She believes it for real that I’m madly in love with her.” Ivan’s voice followed. “I mean, who would even suspect me? I leave no chance for improvement. Nobody can judge me.” “Who’s he talking to?” she murmured to herself. She sneaked a peek to see a girl sitting on Ivan’s desk, and he had placed his hands on the desk while pressing against her body. She had wrapped her arms around his neck while staring at him with dreamy eyes. As soon as she took a closer look at the woman inside kissing Ivan, her eyes widened in shock and her jaw dropped. “True, you are quite good at deceiving people,” the other girl murmured happily. “Just like you deceived me into falling for you.” His eyes narrowed as a smirk formed on his lips. “I deceived you? Excuse me. You fell for me yourself.” “I did not. You are completely wrong-“. Ivan pressed his lips against the other girl before she could finish her sentence. They kissed for a few more seconds before the girl broke the kiss. “You are kissing me here, what If your girlfriend comes and sees us together?”. He smiled. “Why would she be even here? She had a shoot today.” “She told me she’s not coming. That’s why I told you to come to my office.” “Yeah, but,” she gave a seductive smile at him, placing her hands on his chest, trying to untie his tie and buttons. He noticed what she was trying, and his lips curled into a smile. “Not again, we did it just yesterday,” he replied, caressing her face, running his finger all around. “What’s the harm?” the woman giggled audibly. “Office hours are over, and everyone left already.” “There’s only the two of us left in here.” She smiled, maintaining their eye contact. “All by ourselves.” He smirked and licked his lips in anticipation. “You know how to make the mood don’t you, Crimson?”. He cupped her face. “Yet, you never say I’m better than that gingerbread,” she grunted with a saddened expression. “Come on!” he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him, looking deep into her eyes. “I say it all the time!” “You are far better than the stupid ginger-head.” “Not useful and only has her happy-go-lucky attitude all the time.” “Like a puppy?” the woman chuckled. “Exactly. Just a spoiled one only.” Ivan retorted. “She didn’t even let me kiss her yet, she’s so reserved. And talks about marriage all the time like an idiot.” “Can you believe that?”. The door of the room flew open, and the woman who stood outside had stepped inside the room now. Hearing the sound of the door opening, Ivan and the woman’s attention turns to the person who entered the room just now. Seeing her, Ivan and the woman both pulled away and were intimidated by her presence. Their faces went pale as if they had seen a ghost or something. Ivan looked at the woman with him, and to the woman who stood in front of her. He gulped and took a step forward. “Hannah, you didn’t tell me you were coming today?” he asked with a smiling face. “Did you come by car?” he placed his hand on her shoulder which she slapped away the next second. She raised her eyes and gave a glare at him. Her light blue eyes showed so much hatred that it was quite visible to see. “Don’t try to sweet talk me!” she yelled. “I have heard your whole conversation already!”. Crimson glanced at Ivan but chose to remain silent standing behind him. Ivan narrowed his eyes, looking at her with a saddened expression. “I see….you already heard everything.” “It’s so sad to hear that.” Hannah reached out her hands and grabbed him by his collar, shocking him in response. “You were cheating on me with Crimson?” she yelled, her voice on the verge of cracking up. “How could you do this, Ivan?”. “How could you……”. She told herself not to cry, tears overwhelmed her eyes, but she chose to hold them in instead of letting them fall in front of him. “I’m sorry, you saw me cheating with Crimson,” he apologized. “I never meant to cheat on you, Hannah.” “I’m so sorry, forgive me. I’m truly feeling bad about my actions.” “Will you please, forgive me? This is the last time. I won’t do it again.” “It’s too late to apologize!” she yelled. “And, even apologizing won’t solve anything.” “My trust in you is already broken. I can never believe in you again.” She sobbed. “You can’t believe in me?” he asked. Hannah looked up at him with a saddened face. “But you know what?” a smile formed on his face, showing no signs of guilt that he was supposed to feel. “I don’t even care!”
