Raised By The Wolves

Chapter Six

***Hera's POV***

I quickly found Bethany and Calli. I needed their help. I wanted to look nice tonight but I don't do the girly make up, hair dress up stuff. I braid my hair in different ways for fighting or running and working but I don't know the elegant ways to look. When they finally met me in my small house I was staying in next door to them til the pack house was built, I slammed the door and locked it frantically. 

"Neither of you say anything to anyone not even Juan. Rhett and Damion knows but that is because of Rhett's powers and Damion is just nosey." I said with a laugh and rolled me eyes thinking of my nosey bear bestfriend sniffing around. 

"Well stop day dreaming already, spit it out b.itch!!" Bethany said with so much enthusiasm. Calli laughed but looked just as excited.

"My mate is here...." I said almost in a whisper. They both heard me but I got two different reactions from them. Bethany squealed and jumped so happy clapping her hands! But Calli paled. She looked shocked.. Like she didn't want to believe it. "Calli, babes what's wrong?"

She finally snapped out of her daze and looked at me. Tears welling in her eyes, threatening to spill over any minute now. "I thought he was my mate... After all this time Hera, I thought he was my mate. But then he comes back and is yours??" She is in immediate tears..  What is she talking about? Ezra just got here?

"Honey, who are you talking about??? I need you to tell me so we can figure this out.." I don't want her to think I have stolen what is hers. And I would never intentionally rub it in her face if I knew who her mate was.

"ANDREAS! I knew he was my mate when we first met. But being mated to a Vampire freaked me out. That's why I didn't train with you. That's why I never came around when he was visiting. I could feel the pull, I was intoxicated by his scent. And I guess now that I waited too long to claim him as my mate the Moon Goddess is trying to take him away from me and give him to you... I should've claimed him right then and there. I never should've let him leave... " She said in complete and utter sobs.

I began to giggle. Not because my bestfriend was crying but because she had it all wrong... Poor Bethany didn't know what to do or think. Especially since I was all out laughing at this point. 

"Why are you laughing Hera?? My broken heart suddenly funny to you??" She was getting mad now. I don't want to fight my bestfriend. Especially when there isn't even anything to fight about. 

"Darling, Andreas is not my mate..." She relaxed but looked at me wide eyed..

"What do you mean he's not your mate??? You had the room set up for him with blackout curtains. Chilled blood incase he was out of energy. You were preparing for him to be here, and then you call us to come see you. Lock the door and tell us that your mate is here.... Who else could it be??" She has completely forgot about the humans visiting today. Probably dreaming of meeting Andreas again!

Bethany burst into a fit of laughter. She is finally catching on that my mate is not Andreas but one of the humans that are here touring the hospital.

"Calli, you are my bestfriend. I know of your attraction to Andreas. I didn't pick up on that you were mates but I knew you had feelings for him. Don't you think I pay enough attention to you all to know something like that. Also, do you really think I'd strode in here excited about my mate being Andreas knowing how you feel about him. I'd be a complete mess trying to figure out how to reject him. I would never do that to you. " I hope she wouldn't think that that would be me. 

She looks at me sheepishly. She knows I would never do anything or make any decisions even mate bond decisions that would hurt her or any of our pack members. 

"Why didn't you tell me that Andreas is your mate??" She doesn't make eye contact with me.

"Calli I haven't known you as long as Hera has. But I consider you both sisters. We both immediately told you about our mates. Why didn't you tell us?" Bethany is equally excited for me and Calli but also just as upset that she didn't tell us that and we could've helped somehow. 

"Guys, it's not like I'm ashamed but I wanted to wait until we could be together. I knew he had things he had to do when he left last time so I didn't want to say anything then. And we never talked directly. So we definitely didn't talk about us being mates. I don't even think he knows that I know... I don't even know if he is aware that he's my mate too..." She says exhaling deeply and down casting her eyes.. She is upset. I'm not going to kick her when she's down. But Andreas called me and he knows his mate. And if she knows Andreas is her mate, then he know his mate is Calli. I can't spoil this. But I will set it up where she is the best dressed for meeting her mate officially for the first time tonight. It was silent for a moment.

"Well, tell me who your mate is!!!" Calli hollers smiling while wiping her tears away. Neither of us cared if we found our mates. I don't even know if my mate will work out but here we are. Both overly excited about our mates. 

"He's the human CEO we bought hospital equipment from. Well not fully human. Rhett says he's a hybrid but he is 100% sure that he doesn't know he's a hybrid. He doesn't know anything about this world. So I'm a little worried about that. I want it to work out. Show him everything amazing about werewolves and everything. I just hope that he takes it okay when I do. But I don't think the Moon Goddess would make this my path if it wouldn't work for us." I said a little more hopeful than practical. Which again, is not like me at all. 

I usually am rational and methodical. I always have a plan. I always think things out and have every step planned out just in case. But here I was risking my heart and taking a leap of faith on a hybrid that didn't know what he was or about my world. Our world. 

 "I think everything might work out perfectly for you Hera. You do so well as an Alpha. Always helping others. I think the Moon Goddess will bless you now." Calli said sweetly. 

"Thanks love. But anyway, we need to get ready for our mates girls and I need your help! " I said with a laugh. They joined me because they know it's true. I can fight anyone, plan just about anything. But getting hair to look even half way elegant is a chore. And I can barely put eyeliner and mascara on. 

 "WAIT!!" Bethany said suddenly. "What is his name?"

"Oh yeah, Ezra Cohen.." I said shyly..

"You mean THE Ezra Cohen. The owner and CEO of Cohen United Services?? "

"I believe so? Whoever we bought hospital equipment from I think." I didn't rightfully know the owners and operators of the companies we bought things for the pack from. But I guess I should've paid better attention.

"Hera, he's a millionaire and I heard he's a handsome bachelor."

"Welp, hopefully he won't be a bachelor for long!" I said blushing but also laughing. 

It was silent again for a few second and then Calli broke it. Thank Goddess...

"Well what color do you want to wear? Amy sent a sh*t ton of gowns over in all of our sizes. Said this would be our first official party since taking over the pack . She said our unmated wolf party was so small last year that it doesn't count." She said laughing. We know how Amy is about parties. She is literally the perfect Luna through and through. That is what she was made to do. 

"I am thinking of either a maroon red or a grey dress. What do ya'll think?" I have always been drawn to red, black and grey. So I made it the pack colors too. 

They both started giggling. 

"Hera you'd look hot in anything. You're the Alpha. I think making a statement as Alpha and to your mate would be wearing the red..." Bethany said as she pointed to my rack of grey, silver, and red dresses that Amy sent. Which made me smile deeply. She knew me so well. 

I walked over to the rack with my name on it and started skimming through the selection. One caught my eye rather quickly.

It's a burgundy chiffon dress with spaghetti straps. There's a large slit that got up to mid thigh. It has black tool lace and see through skirt that goes over top of it. Not a whole lot of bling but it's elegant, sophisticated and sexy. The perfect combo to knock my mates socks off and to be presentable as Alpha to visiting packs. 

Calli comes up behind me and puts her head on my shoulder looking at the dress. "Oh Hera, that's hot girl but also chic! Yes that's the one. C'mon let's all shower and get ready Bethany and I will do your hair and makeup."

I take a deep breathe and hope they don't go overboard with their different tastes. But I have no other choice at this moment. 

Goddess give me strength! 

***Ezra's POV***

Rhett leads us down along road from the hospital. We pass very nice houses that look newly renovated.

 Which is strange for a small town. 

"Hey Rhett, I hate to bother you more than we already are but...."

He waves his hand towards me. 

"Pppffttt, it's no bother. I don't mind really. My bestfriend is the brute Damion. hahahah. I like being around new faces and helping where I can. But you do look curious what's up?" He seemed genuinely curious.

"I see that a lot of these houses are newly renovated which is strange for a small town that has been here. Usually they are you know, set and weathered. But these almost seem brand new."

"Ahhh yes, the town as been here but it's only been under Hera's leadership for almost 2 years. When we first came, the other Alp- I mean Mayor mistreated the citizens and withheld a lot of things from them making their lives hard and he was cruel on top of that. No not just cruel, he was a complete monster.. He was taking young children and teens and abusing them and keeping them locked up in his house as leverage over members of the town... All the houses you see are renovated because they were basically shacks. Not even livable, they looked like abandoned ghost town houses that thugs break into and vandalize.  Hera couldn't bare to see the people living that way. She overthrew the Mayor that was here before and had him dealt with for his crimes. And to ensure these people were never mistreated again she took over. She reached out to some friends, built her own company and invested all the money into the citizens way of life here. She cares deeply for everyone who lives here.

Actually so deeply when I first came here to help, I was upset about the condition that some people were in. She thought I was challenging some of the people here or possibly trying to attack them and almost whipped my a*s." He ended with a chuckle. She cares for others, that's a big deal for me. I love it when I meet a selfless woman. Someone who gives her all for people less fortunate than her. 

"You said Hera built her own company? Is it one that I know?" I'm curious. I wonder how big it could be. 

"She is the founder and CEO of Moon Glow Security. " Rhett smiled and poked his chest out proudly. He seems please with his boss and friend.

"Seriously?!?! I use their services often when I have to travel, and I have all the security equipment for my building and home. That's amazing." I'm super shocked. She seems so young but she's a mayor of a town and the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company and she has a heart of gold it seems. Could she be what I've been after? 

No everyone has flaws and secrets. She could hasn't something underlying that nobody has seen yet. But what could it be? I wonder how I could get her attention. 

"Does she date?" Wow that sounded more desperate than I wanted it to. 

Rhett chuckles and Levi is looking at me curiously. I forgot he was even here. F*ck it. He already knows I'm interested. I basically smacked him over taking her hand from his. 

"Well Mr. Cohen, are you interested in my boss?" Hmm he's trying to information from me. They do seem like friends. Maybe he can help me woo her or give me tips.

"It's obvious isn't it? It's so crazy I've never been this interested in anyone before. And I just met her and know nothing about her. " Rhett doesn't laugh at me like I thought he would. He smiles warmly at me. He slaps me in the shoulder as we arrive to a few nice and sorta larger homes than the others. "I think you should tell her you're interested. She might be interested too. Maybe ask her out?" 

Of course, that's the most rational thing to do but I don't know what she would like or how to even approach her with something like that. 

"That's easier said than done Rhett but what can I do to make an impression on her? What kind of food does she like? How do I really get her attention? I might be rich but she's magnificent. I bet I couldn't even compare to the other guys she's dated. " I said kind of sad about it. I bet men are falling at her feet all the time.

"Wait just a minute Ez. You sure you aren't in love already? I've never heard you talk about a girl like this. And we've been bestfriends since diapers. " Levi asked with a laugh. Half as a joke but also half serious. He's right though I have never been this interested before. 

"I'll let you in on a secret Ezra. She's never been interested in dating. She's never dated anyone because she felt like helping others was too important. And even if she ever did date she would still put others before herself. That's just who she is... "He said with a smile. Then suddenly his face went stoic and serious. "So if you guys do end up dating exclusively, as one of her bestfriends and basically her brother, I'll personally kill you if you hurt her... And please don't take that as an empty threat. I know every inch of this forest. Plenty of wolves and bears to feed you to if the need arises..." I know he's serious and I feel like I should be scared but I'm not. I'm just weirdly proud that Hera has friends like this that look after her. 

"Rhett if I ever had the opportunity to date her for real, me hurting her would never even cross my mind. " And I mean that genuinely. Of course I want to settle down. But I've never found a woman that would even be remotely worth it. 

But Hera, she's definitely worth it. I just hope she even agrees to go out with me. 

'Hey, I know I'll be seeing you shortly but before the party begins can I speak to you alone? ' I feel like a pathetic high school kid but if I can go ahead and ask her out, tonight can be a mini date.

'Sure, we are almost finished up here I'll meet you by the tent you stopped at earlier.' Wow that was quick. Maybe she could be interested.

'Okay see you soon.'

We finally split up. Rhett took me into his house to give me a change of clothes. I kept my slacks on because they were nice and he just gave me a nice black button up shirt to go with it. It was nicely fitted. I tucked it into my pants and ran my fingers through my hair with some water to try and comb it back. I went ahead to the tent after Rhett showed me the way and disappeared to check on security for the party. 

I was standing on the sidewalk behind the tent now overlooking the field. It was about an hour til sunset. And the light that was cast on the field was beautiful. I bet it would be even more beautiful when the moon and stars come out. As I was taking in the beauty of this small town, I caught a whiff of the most mouth watering strawberry shortcake scent. Instantly my di.ck was hard in my dress pants. I threw my head back, breathed deeply and enjoyed that amazing aroma flooding around me. Then I felt her standing behind me before she ever even spoke. FU.CK!!!! My d**k is fully hard and throbbing I can't turn around yet. Sh.it!!

"Hey Ezra, are you okay? You seem agitated?" She said sweetly behind me. I swear she is like an angel! I have to think of something I have to readjust quickly before turning around. 

"Oh yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about the tremendous amounts of work I always have to do. It's agitating sometimes." I said full on lying which I already hated doing. But there wasn't anyway I could tell her that her perfume is making me painfully hard.

"Well, I don't know much about your job and what you do, but I'm a quick learner. If you ever need any help let me know. I'd be glad to lend a hand."

I quickly adjusted my self as she was talking and when she offered her help it threw me by surprise.

"You just keep getting more perfect.." I said instantly without even realizing that the words left my lips. I snapped my head to her as it turned red and when they landed on her my jaw hit the floor. 

She has her hair pulled back to her back, beautiful dark brown wavy curls on her back. Maroon lipstick and mascara. The minimal but it was perfect. She didn't need any of that anyway. My eyes trailed down her frame. She was so small but curvy in all the right place. Beautiful breasts peaking through the top of her dress. There was a long slit in it that came to mid thigh but was classy with a black see through lace skirt that went over it. I suddenly got possessive because I didn't want anyone else looking at her. 

"WOW HERA!!! You were gorgeous before but wow. This is just.... Wheww.." I can't even get my thoughts in a correct line to speak to her. I never have this issue. Jesus.

"Thank you. Even though you're wearing Rhett's shirt You fill it out nicely." She said with a smile. "Even though I prefer that rugged laid back look you had going earlier." She said with a wink. Fu.ck this is not helping my hard on situation. She sniffed the air and her eyes started to swirl with black grey and blue it was mesmerizing. 

She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. And opened them again and they were back to their normal color. I gotta get more sleep.

"What did you need to talk to me about?" She said blushing.

"Oh yeah, uhmmm right.. Well. I was uhmm, wondering.. If you'd like to UUHH... " Fu.ck Ezra breathe. What the hell... 

"I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?" I said not being able to look at her directly. 

She smiled wide and softly. "I'd love to! When?"

"Wow, I didn't think you'd say yes. But how about tomorrow? Is that alright?" I asked extremely nervous.

"That's perfect!" "I can pick you up and drop you off." She nodded and even in her heels she was still so short. Her head came to my chest even in heels. She got on her tiptoes and kisses my cheek and I completely melt at her touch but also I feel the most thrilling sparks dancing on my skin where her lips are. "It'll be my first date, so you'll have to set the bar high okay?" She looks at me blushing as she settles back down on her feet. I am sure I am red as a tomato. And I can't even speak. I just nod.

"Well come on, you're my date tonight. We can call this a mini date before the big one." I swear I would die to see that smile everyday.

"You have the most beautiful smile and eyes Hera.." She wraps her arm around my arm. "And you're the most handsome man I've ever seen Ezra."

"C'mon I have some friends for you to meet." She starts pulling me to the front of the tent. I see a couple of pretty girls. One is kind of tall with blonde hair, the other is about the same height as the blonde haired girl with pretty auburn hair. But literally they do not compare to Hera. But I won't say that out loud. 

"This is Calliope, Calli for short. You've already met Rhett and Damion. This lovely couple is Bethany and Juan. This is my group of bestfriends. People I trust completely and count on a lot." She said smiling at me and then at her friends. This is nice. It feels like I could belong to this group. 

"Hello boys, good to see you again. And hello ladies. You both look very pretty. And Juan it is a pleasure to meet you." I shake his hand. He kind of growled a little when I called Bethany and Calli pretty. But then again so did Hera it sounded like. Maybe I'm hearing things. 

"Well, let's go get the party started shall we? " Calli said trying to get the ball moving. 

"I am a party animal. I live for parties. So let's go!!" Levi yells from the other side of the group. Damn, I keep for getting he is here. But every time I look at Hera it's like we are the only two around. And I seriously can't stop looking at her. 

I hope I can dance with her all night long and no one tries to cut in.

She leans up to my ear, making me shiver. "Even if someone tries to cut in tonight I only want to dance with you.." 

I am shocked I guess I might've said it out loud. "Did I say that out loud?" She smiles. 

"I like to know what's on your mind. So don't keep it in okay?" I smile and nod. "You might not want to hear EVERYTHING that is on my mind. " I leaned down and whispered in her ear. It's her turn to shiver. 

She looks at me under her eyelashes and smiles almost hazily. "You have no idea Mr. Cohen." 

I don't know what I have gotten my self into but fu.ck me it is going to be worth it.

***Unknown POV***

Just a little more time.

That is all I will need to  take down the almighty Female Alpha Hera. I will take that pack right from underneath her. And then I will take her as my prize. Locking her in a dungeon so deep underground no one will ever be able to find her. She will serve me in any way I see fit. 

With my little insider and my army I have built nothing is going to be able to stop me.

I have fantasized about having Hera as mine. Feeling her underneath my body writhing in pleasure or pain, I don't care which. I know she's a virgin and she will be long to me in every way shape and form. 

"Shut up bit.ch." I say to the she-wolf I have bent over my desk in my office. Ramming my hard member in and out of her not caring if she whimpers or cries. I always picture Hera and I instantly get hard. And then I need it taken care of so I grab one of these she wolves to satisfy my hunger.

"It hurts master Alpha sir!"

"Fu.cking good. Stupid who.re. Now be quiet. I am almost there." Just a few more pumps and I spurt my seed inside this useless she wolf. I push her into the floor of my office.

"Now get your self cleaned up and clean this office up."

"Yes Master Alpha." She said as she whimpered to the bathroom down the hall.
