Before Piper and Joel went in separate directions, Piper gave Joel the key in case he wanted to get back in the office before they met again. She agreed with Charles’ assessment that they should keep the door locked, at least until they had more information or, at the very least, could identify some suspects. Because right now it was a wide-open field; anyone in the household at the time that Piper had arrived was a suspect. And that included her son, Roger.
