Piper tried to ignore the early morning banging on her front door, but it was no use. Whoever was there was insistent that she get up. Now that Daisy was awake, she was also insisting Piper get out of bed. Grumbling, she threw her robe on over her pajamas and made her way down the stairs to answer the door. It had been late by the time she"d finished with the police and gotten home the night before. Even when she got home, she didn"t sleep well. Too many questions were running through her mind, too many visions playing out in front of her.
