Chapter Nine: A Proposal of Forever

The air was alive with excitement and anticipation as Emma stepped into the bustling restaurant, her heart fluttering with nervous energy. Tonight was a special occasion—a celebration of her recent promotion at work—and she couldn't wait to share the news with Alex, her partner and confidant, the love of her life.

As she made her way through the crowded room, Emma's eyes searched eagerly for Alex, her heart skipping a beat when she spotted him at their favorite corner table, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. Tears welled up in Emma's eyes as she listened to Alex's heartfelt words, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. "Yes, Alex," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "A thousand times yes."
