I responded to the greetings of my employees as I walked into the company, holding onto a cup of coffee and some chocolate bagel just the way that Lizzy liked it.
I still haven't given her a proper apology for the way that Gerald acted, hitting her and pushing her away. That was a stupid move and I feel extremely guilty and responsible for what happened to Lizzy.
She was just trying to do her job, but Gerald took it the wrong way.
He didn't even have the decency to apologize to her. Instead, he tried to defend his actions.
I thought she would quit her job. I knew she was really hurt by the fact that I didn't defend her. I was too stunned to do anything.
