I watched him from the rearview mirror as he looked uneasy. I know his mind wasn't at the board meeting. I knew exactly what was running through his head.
Alpha Gerald was like an open book to me. I didn't need much to know what was going on in his head right now. He has always been like this, ever since I knew him. It was so sad to see a good boy like him slowly turn into what I don't know.
He used to be so kindhearted. He may not have been a saint, but he was still approachable at least.
He wasn't so rude and arrogant when I met him. I just left one summer to visit my grandparents and when I came back, everything had changed.
