After his eventful morning, Trey spent the rest of the day trying to see if he could untie himself with his teeth or reach the rope around his ankles with his fingers. He could reach the rope around his ankles, but the rope wasn’t cooperating. Neither was the one around his wrists. He, however, wasn’t giving up. But it was now night, and Trey was hungry and cranky. It felt like his stomach acids had begun to digest his intestines some hours ago. Dammit. At some point during the day, he had moved to lie on his back and watch the ceiling covered in cobwebs and old rusty pipes he assumed were for water and plumbing.
