The man was desperate, and offering a huge amount of money, collectively worth millions, to the surrogate that can carry his baby. I had told Estelle.
Well, it was not technically a lie. Mr. Darnell seemed to be in a hurry to get me pregnant for some undisclosed reason, and the money was good. After all he was billionaire, what’s a few more expenses to him?
Estelle sidled closer, peering at the contract papers in my hands. She looked back up at me with raised eyebrows. “So? How did it go?”
I nodded. “I successfully signed the contract. By tomorrow, I’ll get the procedure done, and I’ll be pregnant. Then, I can get the money I need.”
