Wendy had been through some terrible times in her life. She’d survived a godawful marriage, given up her baby for adoption, and clawed her way up to mayor of a whole city. Sometimes it seemed that her entire life had been a battle. But one thing she couldn’t figure out as she lay awake night after night. Who was she battling now? And why?
