2 The Meeting

    Before the meeting.....

    Ella and Emma (GGx2)

    Ella POV

    I am so tired of this nonsense.  All Jason talks about is how is wants to destroy the Bentmore company.  After all these years its ridiculous.  They  are both successful but they just can't bury the hatchet and work together.  Jason and Henry are a lost cause but I will not have our grandchildren have the same hatred for each other.  I know they don't say it now but in time  all that hate is contagious and it needs to end.  You and I have been friends since college and we couldn't get our husbands to see reason so I give up on them ever being civil.  Gianna and Andrew can still be saved from all this hate and I for one Emma want to see them be more than just civil.  She laughs and Emma nods her head.  

    Emma POV

    I agree with you but my grandson concerns me from what I understand he is quite the manwh*re  as they say.  I would love to see him find the right woman and settle down.  I am not getting any younger and I would love to have grandchildren.  Ella agrees but she is concerned because she knows Gianna has sworn off men after that a**hat Jared broke her heart.  I think we should come up with a plan that will force our grandchildren to work together everyday until its complete and maybe the spark will be something they can't fight.  I just hope if Gianna gives him a chance that he can be faithful because I wouldn't want to have to disown my grandson she chuckles.  Ella agrees she knows Andrew's reputation and hopes that they are doing the right thing encouraging this relationship.

    At the Restaurant

    Gianna POV

     I arrive at the restaurant and give my keys to the valet.  He is a very handsome young man and he winks at me.  I give him my typical smile and walk in to the restaurant.  When the hostess takes me to my seat my grandmother Ella is waiting for me with Emma Bentmore.  What a surprise this is grandmother but you know you don't have to make appointments to see me.  I kiss both my grandmother and Emma on the cheek and take a seat.  A waiter brings me a water and we begin to have small talk.  After a few minutes I ask about why I'm here not that I don't enjoy the visit but it was a business meeting you requested grandmother.  My grandmother says "patience my dear we are waiting for one more to arrive and then we will begin the business portion of the lunch."  After some more visiting with my grandmother and Emma the hostess walks in none other than Andrew Bentmore himself.  I look at my grandmother like she has grown twelve heads.   He approaches the table and kisses both his and my grandmother on the cheek.  He takes a seat next to me and gives me that fake a** smile "Gianna".  Andrew I would say its nice to see you but its not.

    Andrew POV

    I just arrived at the restaurant as I finish up a call setting up a "date" for tonight with Melissa.  She is one of my f*ck buddies.  No strings attached s*x just the way I like it.  After I get finished with my call I give my keys to the valet.  The hostess walks me over to the table with my grandmother and Emma Kennedy.  Then I notice her seating on the far side of the table Gianna Kennedy.  What the f*ck is my grandmother up to.  I go around the table and kiss both my grandmother and Ella on the cheek. I turn toward Gianna and say her name in that cold way I normally do when I see her.  I in no way feel cold toward her actually quite hot. I would like to see what she has under that business dress.  She catches me off guard with her usual smart mouth about it not being nice to see me.  I thought maybe in front of our grandmothers she would be cordial but I guess no such luck.  I am seated next to her and the waiter comes over for our orders.  The waiter is a guy in his twenties who is pretty much eye f**king Gianna the whole time he talks about the specials.  I don't know why but that really pisses me off.  I don't say anything just throw daggers at him.  He finally gets the message and walks to the kitchen to place our orders.  I turn toward our grandmothers and start to ask why we are here but my grandmother silences me with a hand. 

    Emma POV

    Emma speaks first and both Gianna and Andrew are listening.  We have decided to make some investments with the money that both Ella and I have saved over the years.  What we would like is that the investments are handled by both of you.  Gianna laughs and goes to speak but is silenced by a look from her grandmother.  Emma continues in order for us to invest you both must agree to work together on this project.  That is the most important term of the agreement.  Andrew speaks "grandmother we deal with investors that are using millions of dollars no offense why would we enter this laughable agreement for no disrespect peanuts."  Emma looks at her grandson with disdain and says "peanuts".  We have decided to invest twenty million dollars.  Andrew almost chokes on his water.  Now that I have your attention grandson are you ready to here our terms.  Andrew sits up still confused what game that his grandmother and Ella are playing at but he knows that is a huge amount of money and could make the business a big profit.  Gianna breaks in "why is this so important to you two that we personally work together you know how our grandfathers feel about each others companies.?"  Emma smiles this has nothing to do with them this is our money.  We can always take our business to another firm if you two are to stubborn to abide by our terms.  After everything is laid out regarding the terms by both Emma and Ella it seems pretty cut and dry that both Gianna and Andrew can not let this deal go however they both say they need to think about it.  

    They finish their lunch in comfortable silence and both their grandmothers keep giving each other smiles during the meal.  Gianna knows her grandmother has some plan outside of the the investment she just hasn't figured out what it is.  Her grandmother has always wanted to fix the relationship between Jason and Henry but she has to know they will not be pleased when they find out that the companies are working together.  Gianna also can't figure out where these ladies came up with that kind of money.  I guess she under estimated the business savvy of both her grandmother and Emma.  Gianna knows she is going to take the project she will just remain professional with Andrew and not let him under her skin.

    As Andrew is driving away from the restaurant he can't believe that his grandmother and Ella have that much money.  Where did she get it from and does his grandfather know she has it.  Unfortunately he can't even ask him because part of the terms was not discussing who the GG x 2 investors are.  They all got a chuckle out of the name they gave their account.  He knows that he has no choice but to take the project because it will be one of his biggest deals to date.  He still hasn't figured out the ladies game yet but he knows that working with Gianna is going to be a challenge.  First she can be a pain in the a** and his desire to have her under him has been easy to control in the past because they never saw each other for long.  This is going to be the longest project of his life.
