“What do you want to do when you grow older?”
I giggled at my mom’s question. I find it funny when adults ask this kind of question to kids—I am barely in second grade and she is already asking me what I want to do for the future! Mom is like my teacher who wrote an essay about this one time.
But, of course, I will still answer mom because I love her! “I want to become an actress, mama! I want to be shown on the big screen!”
Mom giggles, too, and pats my head. “Are there any actresses that you like most? I’m sure your dad has a few, but I don’t know if you know them already.”
