5 - Deny The Bond

Alisa could feel her heart fall to her stomach with a plop sound. Her throat began to dry up and she found herself taking a step back in fright. The closer he got to her, the more backward steps she took until she bumped into the floor to ceiling window behind her.

His hands gently grabbed onto her face, and she stiffened. She could feel the thousands of sparks erupting from his simple touch and it terrified her. She's far too familiar with how dangerous and cunning Alpha's can be and with the mate bond at work, she hated to be at a disadvantage.

She would never submit to an Alpha that much she knew but the stupid bond was making it hard for her to think.

She didn't seem to notice but her eyes were tightly closed as she leaned into his touch. Her reaction was pleasing to see, and it cheered Jordan up, making up for the rejection he faced earlier.

Jason just watched in amusement as his brother tried to get the girl.

He brought his lips down to her ear and asked tentatively "So, do you feel it?".

Alisa jolted awake in fright and tried to push him away, but he wouldn't budge. She could smell every bit of his minty scent and everything about him being so close to her was driving her insane but at the same time, she was trying to stay sober.

If she fell for this, she would be trapped for life and she would die before letting it happen. She wanted to take a deep breath but decided against it. The deeper his scent grew in her mind the stronger she fell into a trance.

"So what?" she asked but her voice didn't sound as she would have liked it to.

Something about her tone excited the Alphas in the room and Jason almost abandoned his position at the door. The sound of her voice reverberated through his body striking him in the finest places.

Alisa's eyes rounded in terror when she noticed Jordan's eyes darken with lust and desire and she knew without delay that she was in deep trouble. She could not see Jason from where she stood or else she might have understood how dire her situation was.

"The things you do to us little minx" Jordan whispered in a husky tone as Jason growled in approval.

"Don't blame me for your inability to control yourself" she replied defiantly which amused Jordan immensely.

"Whatever you say" he whispered before pulling her earlobes into his mouth and sucking gently.

Alisa bit her tongue and the pain stopped her from moaning aloud. Her neck tilted backwards as her chest pulled closer to Jordan. The smile on his face vanished at once and he backed away from her.

He was afraid he might lose control and take her here and now, which she wouldn't be so pleased with.

By the time Alisa pulled herself together, Jordan was back to his position on the couch and Jason had a bright smile on his face. For a second, she found herself wondering if she had been hallucinating but one look at Jason and she was sure everything that had just happened was real.

Jordan indeed had his tongue and mouth all over her and she had let it. She trembled in horror as she understood the power of the mate bond and she couldn't bring herself to say a word.

"You okay love?" Jason asked and she nodded absent mindedly and then glared at him the next second.

The smile on their faces made her feel like a joke. Like they saw her as a fun toy to play with.

"Do you think it's funny?" she asked with a trembling voice and Jason nodded, frankly. Jordan just stared at her as he took a sip from his glass.

"I don't see why you will try to deny the bond we share when it's as clear as day that you feel it almost as much as we do." Jason said with a plain face as he studied her reaction.

Much to his surprise, there were no visible reactions on her face. "The bond we share is insignificant and can easily be broken" she spat out coldly, as her hands balled into a fist, her nails digging into her palms.

"You wouldn't dare" Jordan growled in a dangerously low tone.

"I guess you will soon find out," Alisa replied defiantly before walking out of the room and Jason did nothing to stop her.

"Calm down brother" Jason said placing a hand on Jordan's shoulder "She needs time to think while we have a meeting to attend tonight"

Jordan forced himself to calm down, but he was determined to have her even if it means forcing her.

To Lycans, the mate bond was sacred and was honored with profound respect. He wouldn't just sit and watch as his mate rejected him, never! She has been fated to him and his brother and she would be theirs no matter what.

Alisa sped through the halls with her mind in a mess. She knew Alphas could not be trusted but she had no idea they could be so dangerous. For a while in that room, she wished something would happen. She didn't know if it was because she had been a virgin in her 18 years of life or simply because they were monsters who could make you crave what you never thought you would.

Whatever the case was, all she knew was that she needed to get as far away from them as she could. Getting to the foot of the stairs, she saw Karen standing in her way and the next second, she was slapped hard across the face.

Karen raised her hand to slap a second time but this time, Alisa was prepared and caught her hand midair.

"You better not mess with me Karen, am not in the mood" Alisa growled in annoyance.

Karen felt terrified for a moment but then got mad. She was The Alpha's daughter, and she was supposed to be on top not Alisa.

"What have you been doing in the Alpha King's bedroom?" Karen questioned loudly, garnering the attention of the few people in the main hall; Alphas and their second in command.

"None of your business" Alisa scowled and was about to walk past her but Karen stopped her.

"Is the w***e now ashamed of her dirty deeds?" Karen asked with a vicious look on her face. She could not bear the thought that the Alpha King might have had s*x with Alisa.

What did Alisa have that she didn't have? She believed herself to be far better than Alisa, but she knew Alisa was far too beautiful compared to her and that was why she had made it her mission to compete with her.

Hearing what Karen said, the crowd began to murmur, To Karen's disappointment, they weren't mocking or insulting Alisa but instead murmuring about what great taste the king had and how she was such a beauty.

These Alphas view s*x as a leisure activity like drinking tea so they didn't see it as a shame that she had slept with the Alpha king. In fact, they thought she must be quite skilled to have caught the attention of the stone-cold Alpha.

Ignoring their murmurs, Alisa warned, nearly losing her patience "I am warning you for the last time Karen, move out of my way."

Karen went crazy when everyone started complimenting Alisa for her beauty and charm and when she heard Alisa's warning, she saw it as an opportunity to show the b***h her place.

"And if I don't?" Karen asked provocatively. She didn't believe Alisa could do anything to harm her. Even if she could do something, she wouldn't dare. After all, she was the Alpha's daughter but to her surprise, Alisa violently shoved her out of the way.

At the same time, Killian and several other Alphas walked into the hall to see this scene.
