Ace’s P.O.V

Tonight had been one hell of a rollercoaster as far as everyone’s emotions were concerned with everything that had happened. When Mercury held Cheyenne in his arms I wanted to get up and rip him apart because she was mine, she was my mate, but I knew that I couldn’t because she was his mate first. They were together for so long and I wouldn’t stand in their way, but seeing them together now made me think back to the last time I was at Mercury’s pack house. I was in Mercury’s office when I saw a photo on his desk and it was of Mercury standing next to a woman with all of his children around them and I really didn’t think about it much at the time and then a few weeks after that I went to the Gator Tail restaurant, where I met Cheyenne and found out she was my mate. As the time passed I knew that she was the woman in that photo on Mercury’s desk, but I didn’t know who she was to Mercury, that she was his first mate. I just thought that they were friends, not mates and not the mother of four of his children, but when I tried to tell Cheyenne about it she just shrugged it off. She didn’t know who I was talking about and no matter how hard I tried to tell her that she had a past, she wouldn’t listen, so in the end I gave up. There was no point in pushing the matter because she didn’t believe me and at the end of the day I could have been wrong about who I had seen in the photo, but then she got her memory back and told me everything. I knew that one day I would lose her, maybe it wouldn’t be today or tomorrow, but I know that I will lose her to Mercury one day. After they separated Mercury went straight to Holly and it made me think twice about if he would leave her for Cheyenne, but then she started bleeding and all hell broke loose. Holly had her baby right there in my office and they named him Bryce Black, he would be Isaiah’s Beta when he was of age. Everyone was rejoicing and celebrating his birth and although Cheyenne was smiling, she also looked a little sad. I took Cheyenne’s hand in mine and began running my thumb up and down the back of it, trying to soothe her. I knew that she was closely watching Mercury and Holly with their new baby and I knew that it must have hurt her to think of their past, but then she turned to face me and put her arms around me.

“Mercury, I don’t think it's wise for Holly to be travelling so soon after giving birth, so why don’t you all stay here the night? You can all rest and the baby can be checked over again by the doctor tomorrow before you leave. Obviously there is no rush for you to leave, but she does need her rest.” I said, looking at Mercury.

“Thanks man, I think we could all do with a rest after tonight's events. I would also like to talk to you tomorrow about bringing your pack closer to ours, that way Cheyenne will be able to see our kids more often. I know that this is going to be a tough and bumpy road for all of us, but I would like you to seriously think about joining my mafia as well. I’ll send you all the details for it in an email when I get back, but I need you to delete it as soon as you have read it, don’t save it under any circumstances or better yet I’ll call you when I get home, that way there is nothing to take off your computer.” Mercury replied, making me think about Isaiah’s previous offer.

“Yeah, I have thought about it since Isaiah made me the offer and yeah, I’ll join you. It’s going to take a bit to build a new pack house, cabins and other buildings onto the land, but with my builders and your builders combined I think we can get it done faster, maybe around three or four months.” I said and we shook hands in agreement. After everything had been sorted I showed them to their rooms and the doctor checked on Holly and baby Bryce before we all left to go to sleep for the night.

Noel’s (Shane’s mate) P.O.V

It had been several weeks since I found my mate, Shane and I couldn’t be any happier. We did everything together and he was thriving as the packs Beta, but I wanted to go back to school. I wanted to own my own practice and be a dentist, I wanted to be the lead dentist and hire others to help and assist, but would Shane be on board with me going back to school? I wouldn’t know the answer until I spoke to him about it, so I waited for him to get home from being with Alpha Chuck. He has been really busy with the Alpha lately, going to meetings and helping with all the paperwork, so I knew that he might be a little late coming back home. As soon as Shane came home he came into the bedroom and sat down next to me on the bed.

“What’s going on in that beautiful head of yours, Noel? I know that there's something wrong, that something has been playing on your mind, so what is it?” Shane asked and I smirked. He always had a way with words and I loved it.

“Well, I was thinking about going back to school to get my degree. I want to start my own practice and be the lead dentist, hiring others to help. What do you think about me doing it?” I asked, wanting to know how he truly felt about it.

“I think that’s an awesome idea, Noel. I know how you have been wanting to go back, so why not. If that’s your dream then I say go for it.” Shane replied and I reached over, hugging him tightly.

“Thank you, thank you for listening to me and supporting me. I’ve already picked out a school and I’m starting in a few weeks, but I wanted to know how you felt about it first because if you didn’t want me to then I would have turned it down.” I said and his eyes went huge.

“I am so proud of you, Noel.” Shane said, smiling widely at me. I was so glad that Shane was my mate, that we supported each other and that we shared everything.

Cara’s P.O.V

That b***h and Ace had been together for three years now and I hated it. I hated her and that she was still around when it should be me. I should be with him, I should be his mate and I should be the Luna of this pack, not that b***h. I had been watching them closely, then two huge black SUVs arrived and a load of people got out. I noticed that the huge man that got out of the car was none other than Mercury Black, the Alpha Don and the King of the mafia. Holy s**t, something is going on and this could be huge, I thought to myself, wanting to find out more, so I snuck around the outside of the pack house and stopped outside Ace’s office window. I started listening and when I heard Cheyenne talking, that she remembered her children and her mate Mercury, I was overjoyed. This must mean that she’s leaving and I will have another chance with Ace, I thought, but the more I listened the more I realised how wrong I was. Mercury had another mate and suddenly she had gone into labour. I was praying to the Moon Goddess that she would die giving birth, that way Cheyenne would go back with Mercury, but of course she didn’t listen and both mother and baby were fine. I thought they might leave, that I would be able to get Cheyenne alone and then kill her, but no, they were staying the night and that wasn’t even the end to this nightmare. Ace was joining the mafia Don and our pack was going to be moving closer to Mercury’s, so that this b***h could spend more time with her kids. What a crock of bullshit. I thought, now knowing what I needed to do, so I walked away from the pack house, took my phone out and called my friend.

“Oh it's on and here is the plan. I know that we can’t take her away just yet because she just had her baby, so let's wait.. There's no way to grab her yet because Mercury will be on high alert, so let’s wait a year and if possible we get her sooner. As soon as Mercury gets over this one b***h then he will want Cheyenne back and I want that to happen, is that clear?” I said and then hung up the phone. I went back to my house and slammed the door behind me. I will get that son of a b***h, even if I have to kill both Holly and Cheyenne. Those bitches need to go one way or another.
