Amos fed Eudora dutifully for the next two days in the hospital. Finally, when she woke up on the third morning, she realized that she could see the lights vaguely.
She was overjoyed. She grabbed Amos' hand accurately when he was feeding her.
Amos was excited, "Can you see?"
"I could see the faint light!" Eudora exclaimed, "Ah, I thought that I couldn't see anything again for the rest of my life. It's not too bad if I really did become blind."
Amos smiled helplessly, "What's so good about that?"
"President Granger would have to take care of me for the rest of my life!"
"Even if your vision is perfectly fine, I would still take care of you for the rest of my life."
"Really?"
