Amos stayed in the hospital for three more days before he was finally discharged. For one, he already was feeling much better, and secondly, Eudora's condition was worsening each day in the hospital. Amos was worried that she was exhausting herself too much by taking care of him. So, in the end, he decided to go home. He recalled the suggestion that Doctor Chilton had given to him the other day.
