My limbs ached as I walked to the parking lot, which was almost empty, save for an old Honda, a shiny Toyota Venza, and Henri’s weathered Volkswagen. My fake driver’s license had been delivered the previous day, but even after forcing me to drive her around so she could judge if I could be trusted with a vehicle, Frankie still refused to let me get close to her car keys.
