There isn’t a mind more gullible and easier to manipulate than a mind devoid of a stable belief. If you don’t stand for anything, you’ll fall for everything. But here’s where the thing gets tricky. Humans, no matter how they try to insist to themselves that they had a certain, single belief they never wavered on, there will always, always be moments of doubt. An idea of doubt… A split second of doubt… And that’s really all a demon needs to persuade them. So all humans, no matter how mentally strong, are liable and vulnerable to persuasion… But Wendy Hallman’s mind was beyond vulnerable.
