Milhaud was surprised to find that Louis wasn’t out of place in the church. She stood when they were asked to stand, knelt when they were asked to kneel and sat when they were allowed to sit. She closed her eyes and concentrated when it was time to pray, seemingly focusing on the sermon.
“Evil rages all around us, brothers and sisters. We must stand up for ourselves and not let the sacrifices of our brothers and sisters be in vain. Let us build our faith in the lord and protect our community as one. Amen”
