With Alfreda in school and her mother away to secure a deal, the house was silent. Emilia was cleaning the house somewhere else. Louis found the silence unbearable and been though she had been satisfied at breakfast, she decided to come out for a snack. Yawning, she rummaged through the fridge, looking for anything that could satisfy her momentary craving. Finding nothing she wanted in particular, she decided on an apple in the fruit basket. She decided to go out and sit on the porch, taking a little fresh air. Outside, she finally discovered the origin of the faint noise she heard from her room.
