WE'RE A CRAZY COUPLE

Everyone could feel the fear, but they chose to remain calm and focus on holding the door so that monsters couldn't get in.

Siena, Blake, Jazen and Jisu holding the door where they entered while Lexi, Chantelle, Trevor and Denver, who's still crying, hold the back door. They're not talking but they are communicating using their eyes.

There are so many monsters behind both doors and they know that it'll be their end if one of the doors breaks. Lexi shut her eyes, trying to think of a way how they will escape from their situation.

"Lex." Trevor whispered.

Lexi shot her eyes open and turned her head to her side. "What?"

"There's no other choice but to fight them."

"I know, but they were too many against us and they are too powerful, especially at night." Lexi replied, looking at the door in front of her. "But I have an idea."

"If you're going to sacrifice yourself, then screw you. I'm not gonna allow it." Trevor hissed.

"Listen, if we don't do something, we're all gonna die tonight." Lexi said, trying to convince her best friend to the plan that she hadn't told him and yet Trevor already rejected it.

"What are we going to do then?" Iris asked, overhearing the conversation between the two.

"We're going to open this door—."

"Are you nuts?" Iris cuts her off. "We're literally going to die!"

"No, I promise you. We were all gonna scare just trust me." Lexi said, but they all shook their heads in disapproval. Her plan might be the dumbest idea but Lexi was certain that it's the only way to get everyone out of the mansion without losing anyone again. So she stood on her ground and backed away from the door.

"Lexi, that's not gonna work!" Trevor yelled at her, which gave the monsters proof that there are really prey behind the door they were banging.

"It's gonna work." Lexi said with certainty in her voice. Then she turned around. "I want all of you to hide on this side." She pointed to the wall next to the door. "I will lure the monsters and take the chance to run outside."

"Great, you're sacrificing yourself." Blake said mockingly but Lexi decided not to indulge herself into a banter with him.

"If there's someone who needs to sacrifice itself, I will do it." Trevor said as he backed away from the door. Iris and Denver used all of their strength to keep the door closed after the two left them.

"No ones going to sacrifice themselves, I will just lure them so you guys can escape." Lexi said.

"That's not even different from sacrificing." Siena chuckled.

"Guys, can you just.." Lexi paused and huffed a sharp breath. "..trust me. I know what I'm doing."

"Okay then." Jazen sighs as she agrees to her girlfriend and walks to the spot where Lexi wants them to hide.

"No—!"

"Please Trev, just trust me." Lexi cuts him off. Trevor stared at his best friend for a moment, and when he saw the hope that her plan was going to work, he finally withdrew a sigh of approval and he nodded his head. "Just trust me, I won't let you down."

"Okay, just make sure that you'll catch up with us." Trevor said and Lexi nodded her head as a response.

Everyone decided to just follow Lexi's instructions and they moved quickly to the side. Then they all exchanged glances, heaved a deep breath and nodded their head to Lexi, telling her to start her plan.

Lexi held her swords tightly in her hands and her body positioned in a fighting stance. "Open it." She instructed. Iris looked at Lexi and waited for a few seconds before pulling the door open and immediately leaned back to the wall as the monsters piled on the doorway and fought each other to see who would go in first. "It's time." Lexi mumbled and prepared herself. "I'm here motherfuckers!" She yelled, getting all the monster's attention. Some ran, some crawled and some leaped towards her direction, she waited for all the monsters to clear the door before she yelled. "Run now!" She shouted and everyone obliged, they ran out and skipped the stairs, jumping outside.

Lexi immediately rolled out on the floor to dodged the monsters in the air, then she used her sword to cut one monster's leg in her front before she pushed herself up with her one hand, then leaped high to jump across another monster and landed on its back before cutting the nape. Just before the monster could fall, Lexi leaped again vertically and finally landed on the floor, then she slid in between of the monster's legs and quickly recomposed herself, standing abruptly and jumped out of the room. Denver, Iris and Jisu caught her with their arms.

"Damn, I don't know how you managed to escape, but s**t, it worked!" Siena said giddily.

"Told you so." Lexi said cockily.

"We should go." Jazen tells them. They were about to run but they stopped when there were numerous monsters on their way, just roaming around, looking for their prey. "Damn it, where are we going to hide now?"

"Wait, I know a place." Trevor said and he motioned his hand to tell everyone to follow him. They ran around the mansion sneakily, trying not to make any sounds as much as possible so the monsters would not notice them. "There." Trevor pointed at the balcony above them on the second floor.

"So you want us to go back to the mansion?" Blake asked sarcastically.

"That's the safest place we could hide for now since it's still nighttime and there are a lot of monsters around."

"It's better than running in the woods." Denver agreed to Trevor. "But how can we go up there?"

"We're going to use our hands, dumbass." Chantelle snorted and she climbed first, using everything she could use to go up like vines. Everyone climbed after her and when they got to the balcony, they made sure that the sliding doors were locked securely and the curtains were well -exposed so that the monsters couldnot see them in case there are any in the room.

"How did you know that there's a balcony in here?" Lexi asked but didn't get any response from Trevor, so she looked back and didn't see her best friend. "Trev?" She called and looked at each of everyone but Trevor was not with them. Lexi quickly looked down to see if Trevor was still downstairs and he was there, looking up at her and with a smile on his face. "Trev! What are you still doing down there?!"

"Hey, lower down your voice, they might hear you." Trevor scolded his best friend.

"You have to go up here, Trev." Lexi said, but this time, she's whispering, loud enough for Trevor to hear.

"I can't go up, I'm injured." Trevor said weakly as he sat on the ground. "I'm sorry Lex."

"What are you talking about?" Lexi asked confusedly.

"It's really my fault." Trevor looked down on his lap and chuckled bitterly. "If it wasn't for my pride, everyone would still be alive."

"Trev, stop talking and get your ass in here!" Lexi said, ignoring all everything that Trevor had said. "Trev, come on!"

"Trevor, get up, they might smell you!" Jisu yelled when she saw that monsters were running around. They might have smelled his blood since his wound hit the ground after he jumped out of the room earlier.

"Damn it!" Lexi growled and she jumped off of the balcony, then she grabbed Trevor's hands and wrapped it around her. Trevor didn't have the chance to react when Lexi carried him on her back and she climbed as fast as she can, but they both fell off when the vines snapped.

"Ugh!" Trevor grunted in pain when his wound accidentally hit the ground. "Lex, just go! Don't mind me! Save yourself!"

"Shut the f**k up, Trevor! I'm not going to let you die here!" Lexi growled at him and picked him up again, she looked for another vine and checked if it's strong enough to hold a person, then she wrapped it around Trevor's waist, making sure that he wouldn't fall off again. "Pull him up!" She shouted, which caught the monster's attention and they ran towards her spot.

Denver, Siena and Iris pulled the vine while Jazen and Jisu waited for Trevor to reach their hands so they could pull him up quickly. Lexi grabbed another vine and used it to climb.

"Lexi, look out!" Chantelle yelled when a monster appeared on Lexi's side.

Lexi pushed her feet on the wall so she could dodged the monsters and she swung back towards it again, but she prepared her sword with her one hand and pierced the monster's eyes. The monster created ear scathing sounds which caught all its kind's attention and they ran faster to Lexi.

"Quick grab my hand!" Chantelle yelled and she stretched out her hand for Lexi to grab but it was too short.

"Untie me b***h!" Blake said to Chantelle.

"Why would I do that?" Chantelle asked back with her left eyebrow raised.

"Just f*****g do it or that lesbian will die!"

"Don't." Jazen stopped Chantelle from doing so and she climbed on the fence. "Grabbed my feet." She instructed everyone to grab her feet immediately then she let her body fall and stretched out her hands to Lexi. "Babe!" She yelled. Lexi looked up and was shocked to see her girlfriend hanging upside down while everyone was holding her feet tightly.

"You're crazy!" Lexi yelled back but she still pushed her feet on the wall again just before the monsters could get ahold of her then she jumped in the air, grabbed Jazen's hands before everyone pulled them up both.

"Damn it, you both are crazy!" Chantelle laughed after Jazen and Lexi finally got on the balcony.

"We're a crazy couple." Lexi said as she engulfed Jazen into a tight hug.
