Revenge Of The Dead

Chapter 5

As we entered the villa, we saw everything was the same, the way it was ten years back. The position of the couch, tables, everything was just the same. All the memories started to flash in front of my eyes.

Ten years back, at night we all were playing games in the living room. Just then Walton called me in the backyard and I went to meet him. He held my hands and proposed to me, he said that he had got some feelings for me. I only considered him as my friend. Before I could say anything, Ryan came to the backyard and he misunderstood everything. He thought I was cheating on him, he didn't let me clear out the things. He bad-mouthed about Walton in anger and punched him on his face. They both got into a physical fight, and listening to their voice, all our friends came rushing to the backyard. They tried to stop them, but to no avail. We had to call Ryan's mom and she succeeded in stopping that fight. But Ryan and Walton became enemies and started hating each other. Walton threatened Ryan that he would kill him and Ryan threatened him too that if he didn't go from his villa, he would call the cops.

It was 2 am. How would Walton go, I was worried for him, just as a friend. I requested Ryan to permit him to stay till tomorrow morning. Ryan misunderstood everything and said that I was cheating over him and I'm with Walton, just for his money. I was annoyed, how could he point a finger on my character. I threw the ring on his face angrily and went back to the villa. All our friends decided to leave from there at that very moment. We packed our bags, sat in the cars and drove off to Walton's brother's hotel which was at Leh. Walton was driving one car, and Amber was driving the other. There was darkness on the road, when suddenly a man came running in front of our car. Amber tried to apply the break but it was too late, and the man got hit by our car. 

We all got down from our cars, and saw the man's entire face was covered in blood. He sustained a head injury, and he needed to be taken to a nearby hospital immediately. He was moving his hands and moaning for, "HELP."

I told my friends that we should take him to a hospital, to which Walton replied that if he dies all the blame would come on us, as we were minor and were driving. Amber was scared and she started crying in guilt. We all sat in the car and drove away, leaving the man dying. 

"Back to Earth Sophie," Abram said snapping his fingers and I came out of my trance. 

"Ya---tell me--," I replied wiping off my tears.

"I was asking in which room will you stay?" Amber asked.

"I'll stay in Ryan's room," I replied.

Ryan's room was upstairs. Besides Ryan's room was his younger sister Daina's room, in which Andrew would stay. I was annoyed because that rascal would stay in the room beside me, but I sighed in relief when I saw Amber and Abram staying in Ryan's parent's room which was on the same floor. Amanda and Xavier stayed in one of the guest rooms which was downstairs, while Walton and Terence stayed in the other guestrooms. 

We all freshened up, and came to the living room. 

"Guys, I am hungry," Amanda whined like a kid.

"So am I," I replied.

"We'll ask that oldie to cook something for us," Walton replied smoking.

"He's not your personal servant, so better respect him Walton," I told him angrily. 

'Now you both don't start fighting," Xavier pleaded.

"Exactly Sophie, babe stop fighting with me," Walton replied holding my hand and I slapped him. He held his cheeks and looked at me angrily.

"I'm warning you, for the last time. Dare you touch me again," I yelled at him angrily. 

Suddenly we heard knocking on the window. 

"It's 2 am. Who would be at the door?" Amber said.

Xavier and Terence went near the window and they opened the curtains and saw the old man with tiffins in his hand.

"Guys relax, it's him," Terence replied and opened the door.

"Food," The old man said forwarding the tiffin.

"Thank you, Sir, we were so hungry and-----" Terence said but the man left without listening to him.

Terence shut the door and locked it while Xavier drew the curtains. They came and sat on the couch keeping the tiffins on the table.

"That man is weird," Terence said.

"Shut up Terence, we should thank him instead, for making food, and sending tiffins for us," Amanda told.

"Babe, I was about to thank him but he left without listening," Terence replied and we all burst out laughing.

"The aroma of the food is amazing," Xavier said taking a whiff.

"Ya, please someone get the plates from the kitchen," Amanda said.

"Do you think, there'll be crockery here, after ten years?" Walton asked.

"Of course man, there is a television, radio, air conditioner in rooms, and bathtubs in the bathroom, so definitely there would be crockery in the kitchen too," Terence replied.

"I'll get the plates," I told and went to the kitchen. I switched on the lights and took plates after washing them with water once. 

I switched off the lights and was about to go to the living room again when I heard water flowing from the tap. I switched on the lights again and turned back, but the tap was closed. 

"Oh, Sophie, you're extremely tired and you need some rest, crazy girl," I muttered to myself and went to the living room, after switching off the lights.

"Sophie that man has made your favorite food, pastas and noodles," Amber said.

"I am surely going to thank him," I replied smiling.

We served ourselves and started eating. I must say the food was delicious.

"Walton, where is your brother?" Terence asked.

"He is in his room. Actually he got drunk a lot, and was also having a severe headache, so he's taking rest in the room,"

We had our dinner and chit chatted for some time.

"We'll return back to my hotel tomorrow, what say, guys?" Walton asked.

"What's the problem in staying here?" I asked.

"Babe---I mean Sophie, you came to meet Ryan and that oldie---I mean that caretaker said that the entire Machado family has disappeared ten years back, so what's the use of staying here now?" Walton asked.

"Walton, what's the harm in staying back?" Amber questioned him back.

"There is no harm in staying back, Amber, but will that caretaker permit us to stay back?" Walton asked.

"See, we'll ask the caretaker tomorrow, whether we can spend a few days. If he permits us then well and good, and if he doesn't allow us, we shall go to Leh, at Walton's hotel and spend a few days," Terence replied.

"I hope Ryan and his family are safe," I told.

"Sophie they might be happy, safe and sound," Xavier said.

"The caretaker said that they disappeared ten years back," I replied sadly.

"Guys let's talk about this tomorrow as I am sleepy now," Walton said yawning.

 I felt weird, whenever anyone of us took Ryan's name, Walton changed the topic? So much hatred he was having for Ryan even after ten years. 

"Yup Sophie we'll talk about this tomorrow. You also have a good sleep," Abram said hugging me.

"Bye. Good night guys," Terence, Amanda, Xavier, and Walton said, and went to the guest rooms.

"We'll also go to sleep, it's three," Amber said yawning.

"Good night," I said, and hugged Amber, and we went to our respective room.
