Chapter 6 - Mate?

620 Words
I “Miss Albaya, would you not want to climb up?” The gorgeous man with those deep-seated eyes asked Grazziena with his expression dancing with amusement. “Err, I’m sorry.” Grazziena almost stumbled as she tried now to climb up the float where the grinning god of masculinity was standing. Grazziena could not remove her eyes from the man. Something inside Grazziena keeps on whispering and wobbling. The man’s scent of a cool breeze soothed her nostrils, making her mind go wild. Then she heard an excited whisper that lingered in her heart. “MATE.” Grazziena felt incredibly confused about what she was feeling and hearing. She had read some paranormal stories about werewolves written by good foreign authors and she could not imagine that such fictional stories would happen to her. She can understand the word “MATE” based on what she read. What she felt is somehow similar to the descriptions of those foreign authors, when a werewolf suddenly found his or her mate or true love for ordinary humans. “Do you always think that deep?” Suddenly, the perfectly gorgeous man beside Grazziena asked, his eyes squinting with a ray of amusement flashing through them. “Oh, I’m sorry Sir.” Then suddenly, Grazziena recognized the man. Goodness, how i***t she could be not to recognize at once their newly elected Provincial Governor Draeko Villadela! She gave herself a good defense on this aspect ‘though. “Well, I just saw him in posters and never in person before,” she murmured, smirking. “And do you usually murmur like that?” The young governor asked again, to Grazziena’s embarrassment. Grazziena knows her cheeks are growing red already. Good thing she is wearing make-up; the evidence of her embarrassment will not be visible to anyone’s eyes, not even to Governor Draeko. “Oh, it was nothing, Governor; I just remembered something. Apology, only now that I recognized you.” She tried to smile apologetically. “That’s awful.” He smirked but then he laughed thereafter. He was just trying to tease the newly crowned beauty queen of their province to make her feel relaxed throughout the parade. II Grazziena could still hear the ringing in her ears of that someone’s whispers inside her body. She was getting annoyed but at the same time confused. “Hah, I really need to visit a psychic or a sorceress who could help me with my condition,” she thought. It has been a mission for Grazziena to research and simply ask their old folks in their place if they know someone who could help those people who are probably under a spell or curse. As of that moment, however, she could still not really find this kind of human being whom she could trust and, at the same time, could help her to be cured. It had been hard for her for almost four months already and having this kind of feeling now with this man beside her, Grazziena could tell that every day would be more difficult. She sighed unintentionally. The young governor suddenly looked at him, surprised. “Hey Ms. Albaya, you are sighing already; are you tired, hungry, or whatever?” Again Grazziena fell into the pit of embarrassment. She looked at him but suddenly she froze, mesmerized, drawn to him as if his body was a magnet. “Ms. Albaya, don’t look at me like that here, where the eyes of the public are looking at us. I can not control myself and r****h you now with my kisses.” The young governor whispered while his eyes were intensely looking at her red lips, which were a bit open and enthralling.
