Zander was sweating profusely as he knelt on the floor, it had been more than six hours of excruciating pain as his body tried to adapt to the change. Carita had stayed by his side not moving even when Celestine came to check on them, she had sent her back telling her to find something to occupy her mind with while she helped Zander through the transition. She looked haggard, ever since they brought him back from the no man's land, she had barely slept for more than two hours. Her mate; Jasper had long given up on trying to convince her to take more rest and they had argued back and forth until they settled on two hours of rest each day.
