“Break away from them,” Khisa urged Maya. Maya slowly disappeared behind the cottage where they were and followed a path that led her to a secluded patch just before the huge expanse of trees that surrounded the Bennett coven. She was feeling hot; trails of sweat ran down her back and her front. Her heart rate picked up pace, and her breathing labored. “What is happening to me Khisa?” she asked but there was only silence. Her tummy was in knots, panic set in and she started to pant, trying to breathe in the air that was becoming difficult to inhale. A sudden wave of nausea hit her; she knelt by the side of the footpath where she was walking and spilled everything she had taken for lunch that day.
