09: THANK YOU

1745 Words
SHE'S TOO much. I cannot handle her attitude anymore. If only she is in my position right for her she can understand me. Even though she is the Queen and also good at chess, it is not mean that she is higher than us. Tsk. She's just lucky that she's the first one who the staff approached. The staff unknowingly chose an abusive person. I was just walking out of my consciousness and I did not expect that my feet will bring me here in the mini-park. There is no one here except for the vendors. I just immediately find a place here for me to settle my mind right now. Maybe in their eyes and mind, I am just overreacting. But I really cannot bear to handle it. If I hadn't walked out, I just don't know what I might do to Lori. Only if I did not prevent myself, surely I already pulled her hair as hard as I can. I already spotted a place near the trees. I immediately go there and sat gently. "For her information, I really don't want to be here and be part of the chess warriors. I was just here by a force." I just said out of my emotions. There is no one here---except for the vendors---to think that I am already out of my mind, talking alone. "Only if I can find a way to be out of this academy and back out from being a warrior, I would have done it already for her to be happy!" I added. I just wanted to let out all of my emotions. "Damn it!" I cursed, closing my eyes in frustration. "She thinks she's a master and acts like she's so perfect! How dare her!" I went on, panting heavily. "She's a bullshit!" I shouted, still with my eyes closed. "Can you at least lower your voice?" My shoulder shrugged and shockingly opened my eyes when I hear another voice. I immediately roaming around my gaze to see who is talking but I found nothing. But I knew that I was not hallucinating. I really heard it, it was a voice of a man and it was just near to me. I repeatedly roaming my sight around hoping to see at least one person, but there is really none. My God, was I being haunted?! I suddenly got chills from what I thought. I immediately look at the sky above to pray but my eyes grew bigger when I saw a man who is lying on a branch of the tree where the seat I was sitting right now is nailed. He is not looking at me, instead, he just remains his eyes closed. I knew that he is from the Black community. Specifically, he's their king. The same person who I bumped before. The same person who always left me dumbfounded. From what I remembered, his name starts with 'Wa'. I forgot what's next because I am really bad with names. Anyway, I will just call him 'Wawa' instead, if ever. "W-What are you doing there?" I asked him, shockingly. What is he doing there? I thought I was being haunted by ghosts though it is still not evening. "Resting, obviously," he replied plainly, still without looking at me. I sighed. "Didn't you have a class right now?" I asked him, while slowly shifting my gaze on the ground because I felt my neck stiffen from looking at him above. "You don't need to know," he said shortly causing my forehead to creased a bit. Okay, I get it. He doesn't need to tell me about what they are doing. Maybe Blacks and Whites have different methods or ways of learning. We are considered enemies and with that, he will tell me nothing. But not sure, though. It could be, they have a class and as what I've noticed, he's alone---he had no companion---so probably, he ditched his classes, just like what I just did, and climb to the tree. Or it is safe to assume that his colleagues are in their dorm and he just wanted to rest and have some air. Either way, well, that's their way. I looked at him again. "Uhm, can I share my thoughts with you?" I said seriously at him while letting out a sigh. Honestly, I preferably wanted to talk with the Blacks than with my fellow Whites. I don't know. Maybe because I just don't want the attitudes I just experienced with the Whites most especially today---with Lori. Well, except for Veah. I like her attitude. I can consider her as a best friend-s***h-mommy. She really is deserving to be called 'Mami V', most especially she always corrects me and scolds me sometimes. But right now, I need someone to talk to. One who does not know me. In my opinion, it is better to talk your rants and problems to a stranger for they can't judge you right away. They will only listen because they don't know you. And you also don't know them so you will not be afraid to share your problems with them because it might only be passed by their ears. That is totally fine. We only need someone to listen. Seconds have passed, he did not respond. I will take that silence as a yes so I went on. "Why there are some people who believe that they are much higher than others? I just don't understand them." I muttered while looking somewhere. "Even though---" "Because of the cards they are holding at the moment." I stopped when I heard him saying. My words got stuck inside my mouth for a while. I am surprised. I did not expect him to respond. All I want at least right now is to have someone to listen to my rants. I suddenly looked at him continuing what he has to say. "They thought that what cards they are holding right now will remain forever. They thought that what they will always have is the cards that have a higher value. But they did not know that it will definitely be changed because to think, cards will be reshuffled by destiny." he said seriously. He's still looking above that seems like the person he is talking to is right there. I started thinking about what he said. He's right. Not all the time our life is always full of happiness. Not all the times we get to experience good and rich life because the time will come, it will all be changed depending on what fate and destiny wanted us to experience. Maybe right now, we are holding an Ace card, the highest-value card. But the time will come, it will soon change to a number 2. Or worst, a joker which considered by everybody as a useless one. "Just like the Whites like you. You all think you are all superior because all the opportunities are still on your side. You considered yourselves as higher than us because the cards you are all holding are still the Ace card. But time will really come that it will change. Tables will turn, cards will reshuffle." he continued. I let out a chuckle as soon as I heard that. "Yes, Whites have really that kind of mindset. Selfish, bully, feeling superior, and such." I agreed to him, looking in front. If what can we see to Lori's attitude is the same as the attitude of the majority of the Whites. She is the perfect representative of all the Whites. I saw that he stared at me for a while that caused him to display his intense gray eyes to me. "Degrading your fellow Whites, huh?" he said then I heard him chuckled. I slowly laughed a bit about what he had said. "I'm just agreeing on what you have said. That is true, by the way." "So, you are also admitting that you also have those kinds of attitude? You belong to the White community, remember?" he said. He then shifted back his gaze above. I let out a sigh. "Hmm... it is up to you if what you think my attitude is. I cannot tell. But this is what I will just say instead; I don't like those Whites who think that they are superior to others especially to the Blacks like you." I sincerely said. I looked up at the sky and was amazed by how the colors complement each other. Seems like red, blue, and yellow are artistically splashed to the sky. I saw him moved and swiftly go down from the branch of the tree where he was lying. "I think you're different from them," he said right after he reached the ground and I became stiff when he sincerely looked at me. "How do you say so?" I asked him from a little shock. I mean, how can he say that I am different from my fellow Whites? Is he immediately believed in what I just said earlier? "It was you, wasn't it?" he asked in reply. He's just a few inches from me now while removing some specks of dust on his sleeveless shirt and pants. My forehead folded on what he said. "It was me, who?" I asked in confusion. He then looked at me. "It was you who left the money for our community, right?" he said, confirming his thoughts. I just felt a sudden unexplained feeling right after hearing his words. So he saw me? So he was one of those people who were looking at me back then when I left something on the ground that contains money? I'm glad that he recognized me. My heart suddenly feels like heaven. The frustrations that I felt a while ago suddenly vanished. He did not wait for my reply anymore, instead, he then slowly move his feet away from my direction. I just stared at his back and a smile suddenly escaped from my lips. A few moments later before he could walk far away from me, he suddenly stopped. Without facing me, he spoke. "Thank you for helping us." After he said those five words to me, he then continued to walk until he reached the door of the mini-park. I remain still, flattering. I only stared at him and even saw a Black came to him and they both walk away, leaving my sight. "You're welcome..." I just said in low voice. ♨THE CHESS GAME♨
