Charisa sat down at the dressing table and tidied her hair. As she did so, one of her older Mawde cousins came into the room and it was therefore no longer possible to talk to Mrs. Bush. Equally she was feeling anxious as she went back to the drawing room. She knew that neither Dawkins nor Mrs. Bush would be looking for trouble. In fact she suspected they were afraid that the Marquis would consider them too old.
