Kendrick saw Mira approaching with the fruits and stopped training, went and sat on a log. Mira went and sat beside him. "I got this for you" Mira said.
"Where is Manda?" Kendrick asked.
"The p********e?" Mira asked.
Kendrick looked at her face, stood up and walked away.
In Moza, Kendrick's mother was in her room crying. Her husband came in and sat beside her on the bed. "I'm sorry" he said smoothly.
"You put me in cell. I was your wife when you had nothing. This kingdom was nothing but I helped you build it. And you put me in your cell?" She continued to cry.
The King knelt down. "My wife. I'm sorry. I put myself in your hands. Please be my mother and save me from this danger that is coming"
The Queen cleaned her eyes. "Give me two of your best soldiers. I want to pay a visit to Akere" the Queen sounded.
"What?" The king was shocked.
"You want me to be your mother right. Then let me handle this. We must not have this war. Akere and Moza should settle long existing conflict" the Queen said, stood up and left her husband in the room.
In Moza, Kendrick and the leader of the army that came to support them were summoned by the leader of Akere. He inquired whether the army was ready to match for war and yes the army was ready to match.
Mira and Mara sat outside and still felt neglected.
"So we are going to hid our identity and sit like slaves while men go to war. I have waited all my life for this day. We trained day and night since we were kids, hoping to grow up and defeat Moza that has terrorized our tribe for decades. And now we fell in love with the wrong man and all our dreams come crashing. And what breaks my heart is that the said man has fallen to neither of us but to a p********e with no name and no reputation. I can't sit here and watch this happen to us. I can't endure these two defeats. Mara, I'm sad" Mira lamented.
"Could you please stop?" Mara said.
"No. I can't stop Mara. I can't" Mira said and left.
The Queen of Moza landed in Akere with two soldiers riding. Kendrick couldn't believe it. His mother dismounted and spread her hands for a hug. Kendrick went and embraced his mother. "Mummy you came. You took a risk passing the dangerous forests to Akere"
"I could pass all the forests in the world to find my son" the woman said.
"Mother, I'm sorry I can't side father in this war" Kendrick spoke.
"You don't have to my son because we need peace not war. Take me to the leader of the tribe. Your father has surrendered. Let's go of the weapons and embrace peace" the mother said and held her son's hand and they went to greet the leader.
The leader agreed for peace without delay and Kendrick's mother was very happy. Mara ran inside and said, "Mira is gone. She abducted Manda" Kendrick was shocked as he stood.
