That night it continued to rain and everyone became scared. The more the baby girl cried the more it continued to rain heavily. Freya was weak but she was determined to see her baby. The little boy Achika held her hand and helped her to sit up.
Freya looked at her baby and tears of joy fell from her eyes. She turned and said to Achika. "This baby is your responsibility. She may be white in color but she belongs here in the South. Bring her up and believe in her. Her path is that of greatness. Please believe in her"
Achika was already crying. " Mother, are you going to leave us?" Achika asked.
The Children were already sobbing silently. Freya was getting weaker as she laid back on the mat. She was trembling but she held Achika's hand tightly. " I may not be around to take care of you all but the god of the south will direct you all"
Freya went silent and the children sat round her as Achika stood up with the baby in his hands. The little baby stopped crying immediately she looked into Achika's eyes.
"I will take care of her" Achika promised Freya before she gave up the ghost. The children were silently looking at Freya's corpse. They started singing in unison, one of those songs that can melt someone's soul. Achika went outside with the baby and it stopped raining immediately.
The children came outside and rounded Achika up and continued singing. Achika raised the baby up and gave her the name, Lioness. At the mention of that name the sky became blue and another thunder blasted.
That night, in the West, the Emperor jumped up from his bed, shouting. His concubines ran inside and saw him hiding behind his mirror. They asked him what the problem was but he couldn't talk.
