Chapter 3 Laurie usually had a bounty of people over to the apartment on the weekends, but the next day turned out to be a much larger party. Brenda, their housemate, was moving out, so they sent her off in style. Sure it was Sunday, but that didn’t stop any of their friends from doing tequila shots. A joint lecture/sermon from Stephen Hawking and the Pope wouldn’t have stopped this group. At least Laurie was one of the calmest of her friends.
