As Piper wandered down the shopping promenade, she found herself envisioning the bright colors on the storefronts Charlotte planned. She had to agree with Charlotte"s suggestions. A fresh coat of paint was just what the shopping plaza needed; bright colors to pull the tourists from the beach. It was sad to walk by and see a third of the stores closed and those that remained had a forgotten feeling to them, as if they were on their last legs and the owners were ready to cash it in. She made it down to the far end of the promenade and walked around the massive fountain that matched its twin situated at the far side.
