Two days later, Bianca sat at her desk at the hospital and scanned over the monitors of patients. She still hadn’t heard from Marnie but figured she’d stroll in today with a smile on her face after ditching them for a guy. “I need you to stay longer today,” Charlotte expressed. “I can’t.” “You’ve been late twice last month, and I let you slide,” Charlotte demanded, staring at Bianca. “That’s not fair, Charlotte.” Charlotte held her hand up. “Mrs. Lopez.” Bianca rubbed her temples.
