Braden, on the other hand, decided to change out of the clothes he’d been wearing for the past couple of days so he went upstairs after jokingly telling Delilah that she shouldn’t follow or they might not leave until morning. She heaved an obviously feigned sigh of dismay, agreeing he had a point. When he returned he was wearing jeans, a turtle neck, and a black leather jacket.
“Going for the ‘Wild One’ look?”
“Careful, Gid, you’re dating yourself.”
Gideon rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t around back then. You, however…”
“Maybe I will take Delilah instead of you,” Braden retorted before jerking his head toward the door. “Let’s get moving.”
“Be careful, both of you,” Delilah said, stopping Braden long enough to give him a kiss.
