I was brimming with confidence as I prepared to showcase my abilities, my wolf eagerly anticipating the challenge. With every passing moment, I could feel the excitement building within me, urging me to push myself to the limit. I took a deep breath, my gaze fixed on the opponent before me, and reminded myself that I was ready for anything that came my way.
And then, the buzzer sounded, signaling the start of the challenge, and I sprang into action with all my might. I shifted seamlessly between my human and wolf forms, my every move calculated and precise. I could feel the wind whipping past me as I charged towards my opponent, adrenaline pumping through my veins faster than my feet could move. But I was in my element, and my wolf was right there with me, every step of the way.
My opponent was strong, but I was stronger. I dodged and weaved, striking with lightning-fast reflexes that left my opponent reeling. And when I finally emerged victorious, I let out a triumphant roar that shook the very foundations of the arena.
Kels came over to congratulate me, and we shared a high-five that felt like a testament to all the hard work we had put into our training. "That was amazing," she said, grinning from ear to ear. I could feel the pride emanating from her, and it was a moment I would never forget.
But as I looked around the arena, I noticed that not everyone was as thrilled with my victory as Kels was. Veronica and my mother were sitting in the crowd, their attention fully focused on my brother's pregnant mate. There were no congratulations or high-fives for me, and it stung a little. But then my father walked over, patting me on the shoulder proudly and embracing me in a hug. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me.
"Hallie, I'm sorry about before," he said, his voice softening. "Your training is really paying off, and you're becoming a force to be reckoned with." I was stunned--he was actually apologizing for the way he had treated me before, and it felt like a giant weight had been lifted from my shoulders. "Beta Benjamin has convinced me to allow you a year of training at the Garson Pack. You'll be leaving first thing in the morning."
I was so overcome with emotion when my father told me that I was going to the Garson Pack for a year of training that I couldn't even speak. I just stood there, my mouth open in disbelief, staring at him. Was he really letting me go? My heart was pounding with excitement, and I could feel the tears prickling at the corners of my eyes. This was everything I had ever wanted, but I had never thought that it would actually come true.
As the realization set in, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I had been so afraid that my father would force me to find my mate and settle down like my brother had done, but now it seemed like he was actually listening to me and my desires. It was an incredible feeling.
And then, as if on cue, Beta Benjamin walked over, a broad smile on his face. "Congratulations, Hallie," he said, patting me on the back. "You've worked hard for this, and you deserve it." I felt a rush of gratitude towards him--he had been one of my biggest supporters from the beginning, and I knew that I wouldn't have gotten this far without him.
"Thank you so much, Beta Benjamin," I exclaimed, rushing over to hug him. I was so grateful for everything he had done for me, and I knew
that I would never forget this moment.
As I hugged Beta Benjamin, I could feel the excitement coursing through me. This was it--my chance to prove myself, to show everyone what I was capable of. I pulled back from the hug and looked up at him, my face alight with joy. "I won't let you down," I promised him.
Beta Benjamin just smiled at me. "I know you won't," he said. "You're going to be a great addition to the Garson Pack, Hallie. I can already tell."
I grinned at him, feeling like I was on top of the world. For the first time in a long time, I felt like everything was falling into place. I had a future, a purpose, and a chance to make something of myself. It was an incredible feeling, and I knew that I would never forget it.
"So, when do I leave?" I asked, eager to get started.
Beta Benjamin chuckled. "Patience, Hallie," he said. "We have some paperwork to take care of first. But don't worry--we'll get you to the Garson Pack as soon as possible."
I nodded, feeling a little impatient but also grateful for the chance to let everything sink in. This was going to be a journey, and I was ready for it.
“First thing in the morning, make sure you are ready to go.” He winked and turned to walk off.
Jax and Kels wrapped their arms around me, and I could feel their warmth and affection enveloping me. Even though they were sad that I was leaving, I knew that they were happy for me and that they wanted the best for me.
I felt a little emotional as I hugged them back, knowing that I would really miss them both. But I was also excited for what lay ahead, and I knew that I would always carry their love and support with me, wherever I went.
"I'm going to miss you guys so much," I said, my voice a little choked with emotion.
Jax just gave me a big smile. "We're going to miss you too," he said. "But we know you're going to do great things."
Kels nodded in agreement. "And we'll always be here for you, no matter what," she said.
I felt a surge of gratitude and affection for my two best friends, and I knew that I would never forget this moment. It was a little bittersweet, but it was also filled with love and support, and I knew that I was ready for whatever lay ahead.
I could feel my heart swelling with pride as my sister shouted, "Well done," and my mother came over to hug me. It was a moment of pure joy and accomplishment, and I felt so grateful for the love and support of my family.
But as I looked over, I could see my brother's mate standing beside my sister, glaring at me with a look of resentment and envy. I could feel her negative energy radiating off of her, and I knew that she was trying to dampen my excitement.
But I wasn't about to let her spoil my moment. I held my head high and basked in the love and support of my family, feeling grateful for all that they had done for me.
"Thank you," I said, smiling at my mother and sister. "I couldn't have done it without you."
They just smiled back at me, radiating pride and joy. And as I looked back at my brother's mate, I knew that I was stronger than her negativity, and that I would never let anyone dim my light.
“Good luck with everything. See you soon.” I grinned at her sarcastically as Kels took my hand and we ran off to start packing.
