Salem had officially won the worst companion to sleep with in the universe. Or perhaps it was his whole hardened demeanor, even in slumber, that denied Inayah of sleep. She lay awake trapped between his body and the thick mattress, struggling to loosen her muscles and even then, sleep had deserted her.
