AUTHOR’S POV Dorian stood rigid, his body tense with anger and betrayal. And just then, Oceanus’s desperate voice rang out again. Without wasting a moment, he dove down, his movements quick as he cut through the water with unparalleled speed, heading for the shipwrecks beneath. He slipped inside one of the wrecks, hiding in the shadows and looking up to watch Oceanus swim past. Oceanus was alone, which meant his guards were still following behind him, and seeing him fueled Dorian's rage even more. He reflected on how he had used him. Oceanus had only ever pretended to care for him to secure a bright future for his daughter. Dorian's kingdom was the second largest after Oceanus', with armies nearly equal in strength, and Oceanus desired all of that power for himself. He wanted to ensur
