Prologue

After centuries of bad blood between the three major supernatural species; The Vampires, witches and werewolves. A great war instigated by the Vampires broke out that almost drove all of them to extinction. Those who survived the bloodbath were forced to escape from the shadows, caves and forests where they had spent their entire lives to live with us, the civilized humans. Among the towns that received an influx of such runaways was a small town called ski. There, they lived in fear and vulnerability due to their small numbers but some wanted to rule and feed, prey on humans as a result they were hunted down, maimed and killed by terrified humans known to kill what they don’t understand. A few even went back to the woods opting to die in the hands of the vampires rather than the humans, but some, just a handful managed to adapt to the human lifestyle, kept their heads down and lived right under our noses without being discovered.
A couple of decades later, humanity would forget about the existence of such creatures and those who adapted, own property, others are billionaires and flamboyant politicians living in ski, now a big city and other cities around the world as normal people while keeping their true nature concealed to the general public with only their few trusted allies aware of who they are.
Now history is on the verge of repeating itself. The war they thought was behind them is cooking in the shadows and the marriage of a very unlikely couple is meant to save them from this new wave. The marriage between a true Alpha and a witch. Two different people forced to unite for a noble course, one is a patient and the other is a drug.
