Chapter 23: Unusual shopping spree

Early Saturday morning, I woke up lying on my side of the bed holding Lynn tightly on my body with my right hand. I could feel her heartbeat in her back and once again her scent engulfed me. It felt great to wake up next to her. I wanted to leave the bed but she refused to let go of my hand like a kid does with a favorite toy.

"You want me to pee on this bad or what?"

She let go of my arm and yawned stretching her hands intentionally ruffling up my hair. When she finally opened her eyes she smiled at me.

"Rise and shine beautiful" I said.

"Good morning handsome, how did you sleep?"

"Like a baby"

"Good" she rolled off her side of the bed and slid into her sandals, walked to the bathroom yawning and rubbing sleep from her eyes. I followed her to the bathroom, we both flossed looking at each other, she was seated on the toilet seat while I was leaning on the wall.

"I can look at you all day" I said after spitting and rinsing my mouth.

"Hopeless"

"About you"

"Let's get some breakfast"

We went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She let me pill the mangoes, thank God for my wolf powers I healed instantly after being cut. While I blended fresh mango juice she made the pancakes and toasted bread. If dad saw me doing that he would have choked on his beer and disowned me. After our perfect homemade breakfast was ready we sat opposite each other to enjoy it. Toying around with each other, kissing and feeding each other. Chuckling and talking lightly about our prowess. For a man used to having breakfast all alone with a maid standing behind him that was fun.

"So what are we doing today?" She asked supporting her body on kitchen slab with her elbows.

"Anything you want, I mean it's Saturday"

"Okay, go ahead take a shower I'll join you soon" she said dialing on her phone.

"Am not going anywhere without you"

"Hey girl....morning, about that visit" she grabbed my ear smiling and dragged me with her, "Kai and I would love to join you. Just send me a list of stuff you need I'll get them"

"That's Mona, I should meet her"

"You will today, be on your best behavior we are going somewhere" she said as we got in the bathroom.

She instructed me to use the tub while she just stood under the shower and let the warm water sprinkle on her body down to my feet. For a while I had my eyes just glued on her seated in that tub, I had no idea what she was planning but whatever it was I trusted her with everything including my own life. We both dressed up silently. She picked for me a navy blue suit and for her a matching skater dress with black doll shoes.

"One for the road, come on" She said holding me for a selfie. We smiled for the flash.

"I thought you don't do social media"

Perhaps that's why we were good for each other. She hated social media as much as I did. To me it was just another platform for my trolls.

"Yeah I did, until Mona joined me yesterday. You good to go?"

"Am good, can I at least know where we are going?"

"It's a surprise" she said and locked the door. Leading the way to the lift with her handbag hanging on her arm and I dashed to get the lift for her, bowing before she got in, "you'll make a good guard"

"To you maybe"

"Speaking of guards what have you done to Arthur?"

I didn't have to answer that because when we got outside Arthur was standing by the G-wagon in his usual black suit. The moment he saw us he opened the door.

"Good morning Arthur, I was just asking about you"

"Good morning mum" she glared at him, just like me he was still trying to follow her rules, "sorry Lynn, It's been long"

"A couple of days, anyway. Take us to the mall we are going shopping" she said getting in and created space for me.

Arthur shook my hand gently before I slid in too and he shut the door. I knew it was going to take a few days before she reverted back to what normal girls did with their free time. Shopping. Unless again she was going to insist on paying for whatever we were going to buy and even buying something for me. It scratched my male ego a little. In that relationship, or whatever it is we had, I was the man not to mention the billionaire and it meant I got to provide. Her money was hers to do whatever girls do with money. But she was stubborn as a mule.

"I have a request" I said clearing my throat as we got to the CBD of the lively city, her billboard was still looking amazing at the ring road.

"And I guess no is not on the list of options"

"Exactly, can you let me pay for whatever you're going to buy? I know we have talked about this but it just doesn't seat well with me seeing you dig deep in your pockets and I have wads of money" she was just looking at with a restrained smile her glossy lips were making me tremble under the urge to kiss her, "you bring light to my life, it's priceless but I can..."

"You're paying, happy now?"

"Very, can I..."

She grabbed my collar and kissed me with passion that got my body feeling relaxed and my wolf hyper. Our arms intertwined and she leaned on me scrolling on her phone.

"People really hate you" she said showing me a comment on her i********:. Some random fat dude probably trolling me from an architectural deception he called a house claimed a man so arrogant and inconsiderate like me did not deserve a beauty like her. I couldn't help but growl a little.

"Perhaps he is right"

"You deserve the best, and it looks like am not the best you've ever had" she said amid laughter.

"You mean I can do better than you?"

"Probably"

"No chance in hell"

The car came to a halt and Arthur opened the door for us. Lynn and I grabbed our sunglasses before we marched out, as usual the people were looking at us. Only a few people in the city drove a G wagon and had a guard the size of Arthur behind them and a girl like Lynn by their side. It melted my heart to see them venerate what I had. It's true I adored admiration and submission, to some extent getting my ego massaged. The only person who was not giving me that treatment was the cheeky girl by my side, waving at everyone, hugging random girls and sharing selfies and pictures with them.

Lynn was like a bone attracting flies. The people loved her and she was new in the city. Now Arthur and I were forced to stand by and watch her sign autographs on lotions and wigs from the company she worked for and I honestly felt a tinge of jealousy. That could me too. In another lie maybe.

"What do you give this people?" I asked when we finally got inside the shopping mall, to my surprise she led us to the toys section.

"Kindness, a smile, a wave is all it takes" she stopped there and asked for an instructor who came running.

"Hold on that thought, what the f**k are we doing in a toy store?"

"Relax hunnie, you're still paying....do you do deliveries?" She asked the instructor.

"Yes mum, free within the city"

"Okay" she rummaged through her handbag and got out a pen and a notebook. She scribbled something that looked like an address on it and gave him, "I need two dozens of those, and" she picked up the pace to stationery section, "A box of those drawing Books and colors. How much will it be?"

"One thousand two hundred" the instructor said.

She looked at me and I turned to Arthur who got out a bunch of dollars, counted carefully and paid him.

"Am still confused"

"Have you ever thought of having children Kai?" she asked leading us to the foods section, Arthur grabbed a shopping basket.

"No, it has never crossed my mind having puppies" Arthur pinched me so hard back to reality.

"I said children not pets"

"I know I was just kidding you know, kids are cute as puppies when they are young crawling allover"

"Whatever, we going to a children home. I know you've never been there before, so" she dropped the water and snacks in the shopping basket and concentrated on me, "Be calm as you interact with little angels, I promise you it's going to be fun"

I did not see that one coming. That was her idea of having fun on a Saturday? Visiting children's home? Weird but since it was me who needed her the most I had no objection. Besides since I met her everything she had done and made me do had been for my benefit. That one was no difference. Arthur paid for the small goods we picked and we went back to the car. She spent the first few minutes of our journey to little Angel’s children's home on call with Mona.

"He is here with me" she said looking at me, "You want him to say hi?"

She put the phone on loud speaker and kept it on her lap.

"Hello sir, am glad you're coming to join us"

"The pleasure is mine, thank you for inviting us"

While we talked with Mona Lynn was doing all kinds of crazy stuff to me. Plucking my beard biting my ear lobe and massaging my chest. It was a good thing Arthur was busy on the road. It was crazy back there and it got me wondering if it was time to get curtains in that car.

"Bye Mona, you guys will talk much when we meet!" She quickly hang up and kept her phone away.

"Are you jealous?"

"No! Why would you even ask me that?" She had stopped trying to turn me on but the warmth of her palm on my left thigh was sending very bad ideas in my brain.

"You cut us short" I complained.

"Because...Fuck it" she kissed me with her hands encircled around my neck, short kisses with pauses, one deeper than the previous until we were both gasping for air, "I wanted this lips free, that was thank you by the way" she said and broke free adjusting her hair using the rear view mirror.

"You welcome"

"Sorry Arthur, your boss can't keep his lips away from me"

A surprised friendly glare from my end send her laughing her head off. She started it but who believes a man? We pulled over at the gate, she held my arm. To me it was just a visit to put a smile on the children's faces little did I know it was going to change my life around for the better and also make me consider having pups to my name.
