COME BACK TO ME – CHAPTER 22
Rio sat on his bed, a little melancholic because Zian stayed with his father and siblings. Ever since Jamie came home, Zian had been spending his time at his grandparent’s house or tagging along with his father and his siblings to go somewhere.
Rio was happy for his cousin. He knew how often the boy would peek outside the window or door whenever he heard a motorcycle or jeepney arrive only to come back with heavy shoulders.
Christmas is in a few days and soon Rio had to go back to working in another barangay or town. Sometimes, he has to work in another province. He has been saving for his enrollment in college. He planned on working part time while he studies. He’s got all planned out –his future. Then, his mind drifts to someone.
