COME BACK TO ME – CHAPTER 13   Zian woke up to the sounds of his grandparents’ chickens clucking and crowing at the break of dawn. The boy dreamed of a sad memory and the noise only worsened his mood. He slowly sat up and gathered his sheets from his feet to his chest, hugging them as if to comfort himself. “I miss you, Mama…” he uttered with tears rolling down his cheeks. Was his memory of her all wrong? He remembered her being indifferent towards him but his dream of her the day his aunt took them to the island vividly played in his head; her tears broke his heart.
