COME BACK TO ME – CHAPTER 8
Zian waited with Cher and his aunt at the principal’s office. Almira wanted to meet with Mrs. Cathedral soon as the flag ceremony was over. She knew her back in high school; she hoped the latter would give her a favor and let Zian into her class even when the enrollment was already over. She was hopeful.
“I thought she’d really be here,” Cher noted when the fifth grade teacher did not show up at the principal’s office. The principal himself had gone back but his sister wasn’t with him.
“Good morning, Sir Ilagan,” Almira greeted the middle aged. For a fifty year old man, his hair was already covered in gray hair. He wore a warm smile in his face that did not match his hair color. He looked younger of not for his white strands.
