CHAPTER 5: BULLY OF THE BULLY

Ryder’s POV

“You go”

“No you go”

“No you”

“Stone Paper Scissor !”

“Haha you have to go now, Ryder”, Chester laughed and shoved me upstairs when no one was looking at us.

“f**k you motherfucker”, I growled and crept upstairs while Chester played guard for me.

After I finished my task at hand within seconds with my crazy fast vampire speed, Chester and I joined everyone back in the living room where strangely, everyone was standing for some reason.

“Here you are, my boys”, Great Grandpa chuckled merrily and directed us towards Reed.

“Take them with you, Reed. You can tour them around the pack house while we discuss something important”, Alpha Adolf said and headed towards the office with the two Masters behind him while Reed took us towards the training grounds.

“I am sorry”, Reed softly said and sighed.

We were shocked at the sudden apology and instantly our heads flew in his direction with quizzical looks plastered on our faces.

“I have not been on my best behaviour tonight and I really apologize to you both for that”, he explained and his features slightly softened.

I must say he was a handsome man with gruff, dominant male features.

“No, it’s alright, Sir. We understand that you are stressed”, I politely said.

“Call me Reed, young man”, Reed smiled and ruffled my hair as if I was a good kid.

“I am sorry if you feel that it’s a very personal question and you can ofcourse deny answering it but I am yearning to know why would you be against the Alpha’s daughter’s nomination for her father’s position ?”, Chester asked.

“I really don’t mind answering that, kid. The fact is that the girl is a bully and only I know about it other than her friends and now you two”, he sighed and shook his head. “She is a very able warrior with Alpha blood running in her clubbed with wonderful administrative qualities but she is heartless”, he delineated.

“Is there a reason for that ?”, Chester asked.

Such a nosy Beta I have got. Ughh.

“I don’t know why am I venting out everything to you two who are strangers but I guess the fact that you two would be gone to the other side of the globe is what is making me so bold to tell you everything”, Reed shook his head.

Nope. That’s not the reason.

Chester is a hybrid too.

A were-vamp like me.

He is using his vampire power of Truth Induction right now.

“My son was her first lover”, he started his narration. “The two of them were very sweet together and we all were pretty happy with their blossoming romance. However, five years back my son fell into bad company and started rebelling against us just because I wanted him to fill in my Beta position but he wanted to train himself to become the Alpha of the pack”, Reed narrated sadly.

“But San would have got that position anyway”, Chester pointed out.

“Yes but my son wanted absolute control for himself. He suddenly changed after getting into bad company at school. He forced us to declare him our chosen successor and when Alpha Adolf refused saying that he was welcome to challenge the nominated person in a fair duel, my son completely lost it and tried to rape the Alpha’s daughter”, Reed recounted the events with a very heavy heart.

“What happened next ?”, I softly asked.

“Ofcourse everyone was furious with him after that but he was my only child and my precious gem. I begged for mercy from his behalf and let him run away from the pack. In my mind, I knew he could come back more powerful and ruthless with revenge in his mind but in my heart I wanted my flesh and blood to be just safe and alive”, Reed started to sob.

“You did the right thing, Reed”, I softly whispered. “He got the punishment that he deserved”, I continued. “He lost a noble father, a promising position of authority, the love of his life and lastly, the pack he grew up in”, I listed out. “He didn’t deserve death at that time, Reed- not according to any of the rule books of the world nor according to our moral values”, I gently pacified him.

“Thank you”, Reed mumbled.

“No Reed. Don’t thank me. I can genuinely understand your position where you hopelessly try to survive the living nightmare that life throws at you every single day”, I said with empathy lacing my voice.

Ofcourse I was referring to San’s bullying and the twins’ torture.

“You don’t understand, Ry. My son turned his lover into a cold hearted woman who doesn’t want love in her life and is still trying to come to terms with his transformation and aggressive attitude by venting out her frustration and furies on innocent students in her university”, Reed said in dismay.

“What happened to your son, Reed”, Chester asked quietly.

“You must have heard of him, atleast every wolf knows his new name now”, Reed replied. “He’s Zang”, he revealed and we gasped in shock involuntarily.

“You mean Zang- the Vulture ?”, Chester’s face paled.

“Sadly yes”, Reed replied.

“We are so sorry”, I whispered in sympathetic disappointment.

“No, I am sorry. I am the fool who let that devil escape. After mastering the Dark Arts, that spineless son of mine has been wrecking havoc everywhere while killing innocents”, Reed said through gritted teeth.

“I still stand by what I said earlier, Reed. You did the right thing. You can’t help it if he became the monster that he is now”, I said.

“Thank you for hearing me out. I never talked about it to anyone and I feel so much better”, Reed smiled at us genuinely and patted our backs. “Now let’s see what that b***h is doing”, he said surprising us at the choice of his words.

“I heard you call me a b***h, Reed”, a bossy, female voice sharply cut in through the air.

When we approached the source of the voice, we noticed San hanging upside down from a tree branch while her teacher was counting her laps from below as he trained her.

“You have guests tonight, San. We will continue tomorrow”, her Great Master said and we bowed to each other before he left the sweaty and beautiful Alpha she wolf.

“I will see off the Great Master”, Reed said. “San show the boys around”, he called out before disappearing towards the woods with her Great Master.

“Hi ! I am San”, she said in a bored tone but I could tell that she seemed slightly affected by my presence as she couldn’t bring herself to look at me directly in the eye while we talked.

“And I am Ry and this is Mac”, I introduced ourselves.

I noticed her bite her lip in nervousness while it seemed like the ground looked more interesting to her than our faces.

“An Alpha should look directly in the eye no matter what even if the enemy shall beat the crap out of you or worse, kill you”, I stated rudely.

She seemed slightly taken aback by my cheeky behaviour because this rowdy princess in front of me was so used to special treatments and dominating over others that it must have been a shock for her that someone ticked her off and that too a newcomer.

After listening to Reed, I absolutely didn’t justify her bullying behaviour and Chester had been right. She was no victim of constant abuse.

If something bad had happened to her, she should have emerged stronger and acted more maturely.

She seriously needed more control over her actions and temperament.

However, I still felt drawn towards her and believe me, there were no brotherly feelings involved.

“Don’t forget where you are standing, Mister”, San suddenly fumed. “It won’t take me even seconds to put you to your death”, she growled.

“I seriously hate talking to snobbish and high headed bitches like you”, I retorted back. “And as for killing me ? Dream on b***h”, I chuckled and turned around to go back to the pack house with Chester in tow behind me.

Suddenly, I felt the presence of something sizzle towards me.

I quickly turned around and somersaulted over the flying dart while catching it by its tail mid air and directed it back towards its source only for San to destroy it before it reached her chest.

“Graceless hosts”, I muttered.

“Asshole guests”, she snapped back.

Suddenly, I noticed a deadly wolf trap just ahead of her and the next step of hers would lead her to a misery so painful that I didn’t want her to go through it even if she was being a brat to us.

I ran towards her in my fastest vampire speed and just before her feet could touch the trap camouflaged in the grass, I threw myself over her and we both rolled downhill together before we halted far away in the deep forest.

The unpleasant echo of the trap snaps made San widen her eyes in shock as realization sunk in inside her and she held me closer to her.

I instantly wrapped my arms and legs around her as I shielded her from the sharp, rocky surface beneath us while clinging her close to my chest protecting her from getting scratched or hurt from rolling.

Before we parted ways, she stayed on my chest for a good few seconds and just stared in my eyes in a trance.

No power on Earth could move our eyes from each other and before I knew it, she pressed her lips against mine and strangely enough, I found myself kissing her back while wrapping my arms around her soft ass.

We kissed each other as if we were long lost mates and suddenly, I woke up from my stupor and my eyes flew open in shock.

Shit !

What the f**k am I doing ?

I am not supposed to kiss this bullying Alpha girl.

Fuck. f**k. f**k.

I quickly pulled away from her addicting, juicy lips and pushed her away from me.

Before she could say anything, I ran back towards the parking lot in my vampire speed and thankfully for me, Great Grandpa, our Master and Chester were already bidding Alpha Adolf goodbye.

Soon enough we all were speeding away from the Dark Moon Pack’s land leaving behind the crap forest that I had just cultivated.
