Gluten-free animal crackers. Somewhere in Orchard Grove there had to be gluten-free animal crackers.
It wasn’t like her to be out this late doing last-minute shopping, but enough of the kids had been disappointed when they couldn’t have graham crackers today that she’d all but promised to find them gluten-free alternatives for snacks tomorrow. How hard could it be? She’d stopped by the natural food pantry, but it had closed fifteen minutes before she arrived.
Which is how she ended up at Walmart. Not her store of choice, but it couldn’t be helped. It was for the kids, she reminded herself.
