I just realized that I was playing with fire. I had completely forgotten that Joshua wasn't any normal person, he was an influential man with many connections and while I was just an adopted daughter of the Atish family, individually, I didn't have any power.
But still-what is the worst that he could do to me? All sorts of crazy ideas jumped into my mind and I carefully dismissed them all.
