Darkness. That’s all I see around me. Endless darkness. Did Calvin kill me? Was the pain of them removing my mark too much on top of everything else he put me through?
“You are not dead. You just needed to rest.” a melodic voice that could only belong to Selene says as she materializes in the darkness. Her silver glow against the abyss is ethereal and comforting all at once.
“Where am I?” I ask quietly as I stare at her.
“In your own mind but it’s time to wake up. You and Adam are about to come into your full power. The fight is coming Amira.” she says as she dissipates in front of me.
