Cora's point of view Rachel stood up and walked to the door and opened it. There stood my birth mother the moon goddess. "Mom," I said as Rachel opened the door wider and allowed her in. I stood up and walked towards her and gave her a big hug. "What brings you here?" I asked. "We need to talk." "Have a seat," I said as I pulled away from her warm embrace and walked over to my seat. Rachel sat back down and my mother sat between us in the empty chair. "Would you like some?" I asked as I pointed to the food on the table. "No thank you." "Okay." I grabbed an egg roll and took a bite of it as I waited for my mom to started talking. As I chewed it I moaned. It was my first time having Chinese food and this egg roll was amazing. Both Rachel and my mother looked at me and then my mother said, "The coven will not be helping you and since you made your presence known to them they will tip off the hunters. " "What?" I said as I set the egg roll down. "This coven is aiding the hunters in finding supernatural beings for their safety." I sighed and ran my hands over my face. "We needed their help. Now what?" "There is another power here that can help you but I need you to be patient. You both need to leave here as soon as possible and Cora honey I need to warn you. Zack will not be here to see the baby or watch it grow up for a long time." Hearing my mother say this caused me to start crying. I felt both Rachel and my mother touch my arms. "What am I suppose to do?" I whispered. "I have a hidden cabin in Colorado. You two will raise the baby there until the time comes. As for feeding, you will find a partner but when the time comes to return to Haven it will be quickly." After talking to my mother for a while, Rachel and I ate are good and packed up our stuff. We then got back into the vehicle and drove off. I looked out the window and thought about zack. All the stuff he would miss but hopefully one day he and I would be together again. As we drove I put my hands on my belly and looked out the window. It took about two days for us to reach the cabin but when we got there I smiled. It was so beautiful there and when we walked in and looked around I broke down crying. My mother had a beautiful crib in one of the rooms. I knew my mother made sure that the house was perfect and I couldn't be more thankful. That night as I laid in bed I looked out the window and at the moon. "I love you zack," I whispered and fell asleep. Zacks point of view For the past three months, Lenny has been trying to earn my love but even though I feel the mate bond my heart belongs to Cora. She should be having our child soon and I prayed they would both be okay. Even though Lenny and I have s*x I asked her to wait on children until I was ready to have one and she agreed. Having s*x with her was hard enough but having a child with her would be even harder. I was locked in the same room I had been in for weeks until one day she decided it was safe enough for me to be let out. I was introduced to her mutant army and I was shocked at what I saw. I couldn't believe she created her own race of people. I was not allowed to talk to them but a man by the name of Kane followed me around. Lenny would disappear throughout the day and appear at night never telling me what she was doing. As I was sitting in the dining hall eating surrounded by the army I felt so alone. All I had was Kane but suddenly the room was quite down and I looked around and saw Lenny walk in. As she approached I smiled and stood up. "Everything okay?" I asked as I pulled out her chair and she wasn't down. "Of course. I have brought you something," She said as she pulled out a vial of brown liquid. "What is it?" I asked. "Don't worry what it is. Just drink it." Lenny handed me the vial and I took it from her cold hands and popped the top off of it. I smelled it and quickly backed away from it. The liquid smelled like trash. "That stinks." "Just drink it, Zack. Please do not force my hand in this," she said as a young female walked up with a plate of food and placed it in front of her. Lenny didn't even say thank you or acknowledge the girl. "What will it do?" Lenny was about to put a piece of roast in her mouth but instead put the food back down and let go of the fork. As she closed her eyes she said, "Why does it matter?" "You made a potion that smells like garbage and you want me to drink it. I want to know what it will do." Lenny remained silent for several seconds and then said, I love you Zack but I know your heart is with her. This potion will help strengthen the bond between us." "Oh," I said as I looked at the vial. "Don't you want us to have a strong bond?" "Of course." I plugged my nose and quickly dumped the vial into my mouth and swallowed, then grabbed my glass of water and took a huge drink of it. "That was gross." "Most potions are," she said as she took a bite of the meat on her fork. I sat there waiting for something to happen but nothing did. As I looked at Lenny she had a smile on her face and I knew that whatever this potion was it was not good.
